Welcome Ladies and Happy Birthday Lisa!!!

FINALLY! I have found not one but TWO things I **HATE** about my sleeve.
NavyMom2006 replied to LipstickLady's topic in Rants & Raves
I'm with the rest of you - I actually prefer the cold because I've spent so many years dying in the heat!!! I've also been ramping up my fitness level, which makes walking out into the cool evening air here in SoCal so much nicer. I do confess though, I did have to sleep with socks on for a couple of nights when this strange new phenomenon of being cold first struck. Since then, I still leave the ceiling fan on all night, but I close the sliding glass door now. Much quieter! Oh, and I completely get the hate part about eating (or not) - ugh!!! Not a milk drinker, but not drinking ANYTHING during and right after a meal was the hardest thing I have done throughout this journey so far. -
I'm in week 3 of the stall too. Praying it breaks this week. I'm going to they gym between 2 & 4 times a week, so hoping the muscle I'm building will kick in and start burning some of that off. On the bright side - my clothes are getting looser and the donation pile is getting bigger! Question - how many, if any, Protein drinks do you drink a day. I was drinking 2 and cut back to one, which I'm thinking may not have been a good idea. Going back to 2 this week to see if that helps.

I picked up a bottle at GNC (expensive!) and stuck it in the fridge, but haven't even popped the top yet. Maybe I'll try it when I get home from work tonight, since you've remnded me its there!

Frustrated this morning. It's been 3 weeks with no scale movement. SW - 232 Goal - 220 Any advice is welcome. I'm going to the gym at least 3xs a week and I know I'm gaining muscle, and my clothes are getting big, but I'm still a bit frustrated.

Psych Eval not Necessary with AETNA
NavyMom2006 replied to Ladiec2's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have Aetna and didn't have to have a psych eval. My surgeon's office did all the back and forth with the insurance company, so I never even had to talk to them! -
I'm actually a bit afraid to try it!!

Hi Sherry, Just wanted to say thanks for the meeting! I'll definitely be returning. ???? -
I drink Premier as well - never thought to heat it up! Thanks for the tip. Oh man, a regular BM - does that happen anymore? I was taking a daily probiotic pre-surgery (9/23) and have just started again. Saw my surgeon last week and he ok'd popcorn and everything except raw veggies. But I can have salad, just chew well. He basically says "protect the sleeve" and all will be fine. Have a wonderful day ladies. I'm getting ready to attend my first support group meeting that I found on this site! Excited to meet some local folks!

I've had a Starbucks Venti Iced Green Tea with 2 Splenda's the other day and it didn't bother me at all.

Looking Good!!

I'm glad it's not just me. Surgery was 9/23 and post surgery weight loss is 25 lbs and holding. I think it should be quicker too, but like you - losing inches and going down in sizes. I guess our bodies are trying to find a new "normal".

I'm so happy I found this thread! I'm in San Dimas and really didn't want to drive to Pasadena on Tuesday nights after work for the support group. I'm RSVP'ing now and it's already on my calendar. I'm looking forward to meeting all of you! Carinda -
Some unexpected NSVs have me LOLing in public. You?
NavyMom2006 replied to LipstickLady's topic in Rants & Raves
I love reading these!!! My recent NSV's are: my son being amazed that my legs are "straight"! He actually was checking out my legs the other day and said "Mom, your legs look so great, you used to have bumps, but look how straight they are!" LoL! I also had to buy new dress shoes and tennis shoes because my feet aren't as fat anymore! I've put about 3 pair of slacks and several tops in the Goodwill pile...YAY!!! And I'm wearing clothes that I haven't worn for years! The best one yet though, my girlfriend's husband called me "Slim" the other day! This is soooo fun!!! -
@@#9grammy - wishing you the best of luck today and looking forward to talking with you on the other side!!!

NavyMom2006 replied to pinkbunies's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had a couple of bites of pizza. Was out with friends, so didn't have an alternative. I was full right away, but it was yummy! -
Congrats!!!

NavyMom2006 replied to Elode's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I buy Popsicle brand. I'm not too excited about the red ones but the grape and orange are good. -
Wow - I've been eating eggs for the last week! Will have to check with my doc next week.

NavyMom2006 replied to happymama2014's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgery was on a Tuesday and I visited family in Las Vegas on Friday. 3 hour drive, I was a passenger but did drive home on Sunday. You should be fine!
