I think I hit my stall. I actually gained 4 pounds and then lost 2. I can't seem to break the 264 mark. The holidays were good. I baked too much but didn't eat that much is was fantastic. I've increased the amount of exercise and started cutting back on my solid foods in hope that it will kick start the weight loss again.

Do you enjoy cooking still?

@ BeagleLover, yes but it can take the place of my "grazing all day". No extra food needed. ???? -
Do you enjoy cooking still?
HardwareJedi replied to kajunqty's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i love cooking! I'm a culinary arts student, which is one thing that prompted me to get the surgery. I didn't want the extra calories from having to taste everything I cook. -
I'm 2 months post op and on a full diet, yet I still get so cold. My son calls me Mr. Freeze. It's totally normal.

I went to my doc yesterday for my 2 month post op. I had the usual blood work done a week before the appointment. I lost 24 pounds since my 2 week post op appointment. The total weight lost is now at 54 pounds. According to my blood work, the only thing that I need to do is start taking vitamin D; everything else was good. Also my BP was in a more normal range. At my 2 week post op appointment my BP was 164/108 and yesterday it was 124/86. That is the lowest it has ever been for me. I got a lot of attaboys for everything I've been doing. It made me feel good about myself and my decision to get the surgery!

Hi Fab@@forty! I also was sleeved on 9/23. I was feeling great up until this week. I am suffering a gout attack. Other than that I'm doing great. I've lost 20 pounds since the day of my surgery.

Cookie flavors post-op

I was allowed to have cream of wheat on my full liquid diet. I had to thin it with milk to make it drinkable. So I think it would be OK to take. -

HardwareJedi replied to Lndrn723's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The stall happened to me too and I actually gamed weight. After my 2 week post op and adding soft foods to my diet, I started losing weight again. 14 pounds to be exact. Just keep with it and don't get discouraged. The weight will come off. -

Today I went to the doc for my two week post op appointment. Everyone was pleased with my progress and how well I'm doing. The dietitian was surprised at the amount of Protein I am getting, thanks to Premier Protein shakes. I also got my drain out after having it for two weeks. It gave me a bit of pain after it was taken out. I'm do I g better now. I got to eat some mashed potatoes and a small piece of canned chicken. It tasted so good and didn't bother my stomach. I do feel great and I'm glad I got my surgery.

I have 6 incisions as well. For pain, the doc gave me a perscription for liquid vicodin. I only had to use it once and that was the night I came home from the hospital. -

I had my drain for 2 weeks after surgery and started driving within one week after surgery. I tried doing things here and there while at home after the first week post op, but I found that I got tired quickly. At my 2 week post op appointment I was able to do every thing I needed to do. -

Congo Ratz on your surgery and recuperation! I only had one incision that really hurt. There was a lot of brusing around it too, which I still have after 3 weeks out. I had mostly itching on the others four days after surgery, which I thought was strange. -

Here's what happened to me. 1) You will more than likey wake up. it took me a little bit to full wake up, but I did. 2) I wont sugar coat it, there will be pain. The amount of pain depends on your tolerance. They will giv eyou pain meds so to fret. I survived on the liquid tylenol. There was only one time I needed morphine 3) I expected to have swallowing problems, but I didn't. I didn't even have the scratchy throat. I suppose it depends on the person. 4) You may feel different. I did. I don't know if my feelings were of a physical nature though. I felt like I had gone though a metamorphosis and finally could see a brighter future. My stomach looked smaller, but that could have been just my imagination. Try not to worry about any what will happen afterwards. The doctors and nurses will take care of you and your needs. You will be just fine. Good luck tomorrow and I look forward hearing how well things went. -
I'm able to eat mashed potatoes and canned meats, as well as eggs and cottage cheese. I was told to make sure I chew up my foods to an applesauce consistancy. I was also told if something doesn't agree, give it a couple of days and try again. Our systems have to learn to readjust.

Two week post op
HardwareJedi replied to HardwareJedi's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
That's great! I've notice that my cloths fit differently now too, but I refuse to get new ones until I've lost a bit more weight. I had the cravings, too, one week after surgery, and I didn't cave either. I'm so glad you're doing well! -

How are all the Sept. people doing?
HardwareJedi replied to Brenda Witte Evans's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Cream of wheat/ coco wheats is in my approved liquid diet. I have to thin it really well! I do feel full after I drink it and it takes me a couple hours to do so. I have another week before I see my doc. Good luck tomorrow! Let me know how it goes! -

Glad you didn't throw up. That would be painful I think. I think I had a bit of that yesterday. At 3 in the morning I woke up with a terrible headache, but got back to sleep. When I got up at 8 I had a little bit of coco wheats and found the headache was from hunger. The entire day I felt like I was eating everything. That evening I got flushed and my heart started racing with a little nausea. I crashed on the couch for the night.
