How are all the Sept. people doing?

I'm doing a bit of walking too. I find myself wanting the solid food the rest of my family is having. My cream soups only go so far. I'll check out the Isopure. Where did you find them?

How are all the Sept. people doing?

I'm doing pretty well. Not much pain to speak of. I have some discomfort due to still having my drain, but it's not bad. Every day I'm feeling better. How are you doing, Jolisue?
  3. I had my surgery this morning at 9:15.am. I was supposed to have gastric bypass, but I received the sleeve. This is as due to my liver being huge. The doctor said that I did everything I was supposed to due to shrink it, but it was just bigger than most he's worked with. He said it would have been too dangerous to do the bypass. Right now I'm doing ok. I'm groggy and dozing off and on . I'm due to start walking around a bit shortly. I'm in pain and the pain meds seems to be helping some but not entirely. He said everything went well. Now I'm looking forward to the future.

There aren't plans for the bypass later. I really don't want to have more surgery either. I just have be more dedicated to losing the weight. ????

    September surgery

Miy surgery is tomorrow, 9/23. I've been having second thoughts and they were really bad yesterday. They were mainly because I am tired of the liquid diet. I wanted something solid.I'm not going to give in, but I can be my own worst enemy sometimes.

Great advice! I have my surgery tomorrow morning. I'm a bit nervous but looking forward to it.
  9. The website says it's a $58 termination fee if you haven't filled out your contact time. I would think with a month to month membership there wouldn't be a fee. I'm a black card member to PF and love it. It's the only place that don't feel pressured and they have all the weights that I would ever need.
  10. Hi everyeone! I'm new here. I just signed up yestreday. I've found a lot of the posts very helpful. My gastric bypass surgery is in two weeks and I've started my phase II liquid diet in prep for the surgery. The foods that I'm supposed to eat aren't bad, but when you work in an office where someone is constantly bringing in Burger King, McDonald's and pizza it can be tough! I know that I have to stay true and follow the diet, but I'm going a bit mad here! If anything I'll have a better willpower after going through this, right? Thanks for letting me vent a little bit.
  11. For me after I got my approval, I scheduled the surgery date and the pre op appointment. At the pre op appointment, I talked with the surgeon, then when to meet the anesthesiologist. He ordered a few blood tests since it had been six months since the last ones. I’m on a two week phase 2 liquid diet and the day before I will be on a clear liquid diet. My surgery is on 9/23. Sometimes insurance wants a few more things done before they get approval, but that didn’t happen for me. My dietician said sometimes they want exercises records or a few more pounds lost before approval. It took two weeks for my approval. Once you get approval everything will happen quickly. The best things is to not worry about it. These things can take time and worry can cause different problems. Remain strong, you got this! Hope this helps.

    How did you tell people?

I told my brother a couple weeks ago and he was glad I was doing something and I just told my mom and dad yesterday. I was worried that they would think I was taking the easy way out. I also thought they would try and talk me out of it, which is why I told them after my pre-op visit. I was surprised that they were happy I was getting somet help. It seems the more people I tell, the better I feel about the surgery. I might not let me coworkers know until they notice I'm losing weight and ask. I'm not friends with them and I feel they really wouldn't care anyway. There is no support for me at work.
