Hi Magna sorry to hear you are not happy with your band, are you getting fills and where? Don't give up hope. I've had a leak and went over to Paris and Jerome put in a new band. I'm loosing very slowly but I'm happy now. I was like you very frustrated, all the fills and no restriction. I couldn't understand why everyone else was losing weight and i wasn't. Hi Emerald Jerome doesn't do fills in Ireland. You need to go to Paris for that, my mistake. The Belgian nurses come over every month to do fills in Dublin. Their contact no is 00447872963503 speak to Julie tosh there, good luck.

Hi Everyone. Got back from Paris and Jerome, what a guy. I didn't only get my band changed to the newest one on the market, he managed to pick me up from the bus and bring me on a sight seeing tour. This guy has more charisma in his little finger than all the surgeons in Ireland put together. I would strongly recommend him to anyone thinking of having the band done. So its almost a month since I had it done and I'm 13 lbs down I cant believe it. I was banded for the first time in acs just 12 months ago and had only lost 14 lbs for the whole year, so you can imagine how thrilled I am, and Paris is only a hour and ten mins from Dublin,over and back the same day. Glad Flirty lass you are happy and doing well hope you have great restriction and the pounds start dropping. I didn't see the article on BBC, wish I had, but I would still go and have it done again. TERRY hows it going you still got great restriction, like I said I'm doing great just loosing the way I want steady and slow. I'm afraid we've all been down this road with acs. There's not much we can do we've been ripped off by them. You can either let it fester or just cut your losses, and get on with the rest of your life. I payed 10k as well, just 12 Mt's ago and had the bloody thing ripped out a month ago. Find your self a good fill doc, don't be angry with the band its there to help you, so chin up and start loosing those pounds. Ailbe isn't it great to see the sizes dropping it will be a long time till I need to buy clothes. I have them from a size 16 to 28 and I have a Sister that is a dab hand with the machine. Maybe that's the way to go, find a dress maker to take in your clothes, it would be a lot cheaper than buying new ones. Hi Terry.This is Jeromes address jerome@manuceau.net What makes you think your band has slipped. From what I know from other cases you would be very sick, and not able to keep anything down. It sounds like you are still wide open, you may have a leak. That's what happened to me. I was going to Dublin for fills every month, and nothing was happening then I went to Jerome to have a look, and he told me I had no fluid in there, it was a big shock. I'm so glad he is the one going to fix it. Ill be heading of Monday week cant wait. If you need any more information pm me. Hi all I've been off for a while. Broad band was down in my area, just got it back on Sunday. God how I missed it I felt lost not to be in touch with the the band world was frustrating. Anyway I'm off to see Fred on wed so excited. Gerri I think Ill cut my losses with acs, they are not worth the hassle. Belfast is not an option I would have to take a 2hr bus to Dublin & a 3hr trip to Belfast. I would have to stay over a very expensive fill if I got one. Is anybody meeting in Larry Murphy's on Wed my app is 11.30 I could meet after that.

Hi guys I had a call from Fredrick this morning at 9am. He wanted to know how things were going with my band, said he would be in Dublin every month if we needed fills. He says ACS have not changed hands, its still the same company just changed names. His fills are 120 euro,and if its filled to tight they will fly back next day to defill. Has anyone else got a call from him. love ROE
