  2. Yes! I am having lots and lots of hair loss! I too had thick, long hair and now you can almost see my scalp. I think it has slowed a little...or maybe it nust seems so because I dont have much more to loose! I have been using products to get the volume...hoping to camouflage the hair loss. I remember being told this could happen, but at the time, didnt consider how I would feelaboit it. On an up note, I'm down 80+ pounds! Bought a size 10 pair of jeans last weekend. I feel great, but havent lost anything the past couple weeks. I have started working out more...with weights...so I hope I am building muscle.

    Sept 3 sleevers?

I was sleeved on 9/3. I felt great out of surgery, but developed kidney stones about two weeks after surgery. Also, for the past few days, if I even smell food cooking I think I am going to be sick. I have not thrown up, but I feel like I could at any moment. I don't have any fever. Even my Vitamins and Protein Shakes make me want to gag. When trying to pack lunches for my family this morning, I thought I would have to leave the house as the smell of the food about made me run to the restroom. Also, when my co-workers heated up thier lunch I got the same feeling. I don't want to eat anything...except sugar free popsicles. Does anyone else feel this way?

    Wanted: September Sleevers!

I can't eat very much either. I am doing good to get two bites of egg for breakfast, a bite of yogurt for lunch and then about two bites of creamed soup for dinner. I was sleeved on 9/3. Nothing tastes good and most everything makes me nauseous. I am just pushing water and sugar free popsicles...trying to stay hydrated.
  5. I was sleeved on 9/3. I am down 35 pounds. My problem, well I have two, first I have developed kidney stones -- ouch! I have had three bouts with the pain and am having one now. And, my second thing is that NOTHING tastes good. If I eat, I feel like I am going to gag. Just the thought of eating makes me sick to my stomach. I can eat whatever I want as long as I chew it, so I have tried to cook some of my old favorites just to try to get something in. They don't taste the same at all and make me nauseous. Currently, I am getting in about 300 calories a day. I am drinking water, Crystal light and super free popsicles trying to stay hydrated. Anyone else feel this way?

    Wanted: September Sleevers!

I don't know how she would do that. If I eat too fast I can feel the food backing up in my throat...and that's applesauce and creamed soup! I did eat some mashed broccoli yesterday...just one little piece and I was uncomfortably full. (Sleeved 9/3)
  7. I was sleeved on 9/3 and I still have trouble getting in all my protein. I just keep pushing and will eventually get it. Although I hate the taste, Isopure RTD has been the best option for me. I drink half the bottle before lunch and the other half after lunch. It leaves my evenings open to push water. I feel great, but I remember going through the tired stage right after surgery. Good luck with your new journey!!

Tried Refried Beans With Melted Cheese

My Nutritionalist told me at my post op appointment (day 8) that I could go to soft foods...retried beans, avocado, banana, scrambled eggs, etc. And that I wouldn't hurt my sleeve as long as I didn't eat more than 2 T. It is so funny how doctors are so different. Maybe it depends on the person somehow? I don't know...but the recommendations seem to fluctuate drastically.
  9. I was sleeved on 9-3 in Las Vegas. Went for my post op check up on 9-11 and was down 24 pounds. Now I am down 30, but have hit a stall. It's like my body said "ok, that's enough" lol! My recovery has been very smooth...no pain, sleeping well, went back to work in a week and a half. I am having trouble getting in all my protein. Seems like it takes me forever to get it down. Chewable vitamins are fine. I think I am tried of all the sweet foods...vitamins are berry flavored, shakes are vanilla or chocolate, yogurt is fruit flavored...everything is sweet. I was a salty chip person, so I need to find something else to eat. I may try mashed potatoes?!?! Any other suggestions from anyone??

    Sept 3 sleevers?

@Noragretz: I had all those sounds at first. Add gurgling and burping, but it has calmed down or I have just gotten used to it.

    Sept 3 sleevers?

Went to my follow-up appointment today. I am down 24 pounds since my sleeve on 9-3. They added soft foods -- scrambled eggs, avocado, mashed potatoes -- I am feeling FaNtAsTiC!! I am still needing to get more protein in, but they said that will come in time.
