Maybe you can try a VSG friendly diet so that you can start getting use to it. High protein meals and maybe start a workout routine. Good Luck!

I'm 26 and I wish I would have done it when I was younger. I say if you have done your research and it's something you want then go for it. Good Luck!! -
Documentation of Non-Surgical Weight Loss Attempts
dede0314 replied to careya123's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Yeah, I didn't provide any additional documentation. The surgeon and nutritionist asked about my past attempts and it was in their notes that they sent to the insurance company. -
You'll be fine. I had to fill out a questionnaire before meeting with the psychologist. We went over the that. Most of it was just making sure I understood what the surgery consists of and that it requires a lifestyle change. Also asked if I had a support system and my past weight loss attempts and why I thought I was unsuccessful. Mine was about an hour also.

Aetna POS II Insurance Questions - Please Help!
dede0314 replied to InIt2LoseIt's topic in Insurance & Financing
I also have Aetna. Have you looked at their bulletin. The requirement for a two year history weight has been removed. I'm not sure if you have to follow other requirements. When I first started my journey the bulletin stated you need 2 year weight history. They have removed that statement. If you look at the revision history and on 8/12/2014 it will state what was changed. http://www.aetna.com/cpb/medical/data/100_199/0157.html -

My doctor uses a 36. When I spoke to him about it he said that smaller sizes have a higher chance of having complications occurring but no significant difference in weight loss.
