Anyone have any tips for something other than sweet shakes on the pre op liquid diet?? I'm on day 2

I'm not sure what your doc allows or not. But for mine, I only had to do liquid consistency <40 grams carbs/day. So basically I took atkins type meals of meat cheese and/or veggies, whatever I made for the family, and blended it with water, milk (if cream based) or broth and drank what I would otherwise normally eat. My instructions were to make sure it's the consistency that if you tip your spoon over it immediately leaves the spoon without much leftovers, but other than that and carbs, doesn't matter what goes in.
I got so sick of that fake sweet taste and you need to not get too turned off to it cause after surgery when you're on clear liquids only there really isn't any other non-sweet option than broth. Good luck!

Hi all, I'm waiting for one last appointment then hopefully I'll get my sleeve date! Wondering if anyone has heard this. If you have the sleeve and have an abscess tooth it can go into your sleeve and cause complications? Anyone hear this?

Thank you everyone for your time and info! I had 2 teeth removed yesterday they were beyond repair! I was also put on antibiotics for the next 10 days but my surgery won't. E for at least a month or 2 but I do want to take care of everything now and I hate the dentist!!! -

I was asked when I was due and I'm not pregnant! Besides that I have been overweight forever and now my knee hurts , my back hurts, and I'm done watching everyone I know get this surgery and lose weight and I'm still the same old fluff ball. -

Hello all, I am new here and this is my first post. I'm going through the process to get my sleeve and have some more tests to do.. I had my psych eval yesterday and if went amazing, she could see I am 100 percent ready and committed to this and told me this and the session ended great. Fast forward to 8 am this mornin .. My beautiful, curious Son , who is 1 picked up my phone and somehow hit my last call dialed which was her I called yesterday to say I was on my way ..and there she was, on my phone in my sons bedroom with him and I with me in my pjs, him in his diaper and me frozen and all I heard was hello?? Hello? Are you ok? I scrambled for the phone to explain what happened , I was mortified but she just laughed and was a sweetheart about it! Lord please don't let her renig my beautiful report she wrote on me and stamp " Not ready " on it !! ????????????????????.. Can anyone remotely relate ?? -
