Not having support from partner
viktoryalynne replied to capiccirillo's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
First~ You are not a failure. You are using a tool (the surgery) to help assist you in a lifetime change. This tool will assist you in regaining your good health back, exceeding your lifespan, and living a life of happiness. This will be one of the hardest challenges you will take on and you will WIN! Everyone is build different. Some of us burn calories immediately and can maintain normal weight. Many like you and I need more than the gym, Do this for you! Go to support meetings, online support, look for a weight loss partner to get your support from. It 's to bad your partner is not supportive but she is not your medical health provider. I wish you the very best on your journey. God's Blessings! Victoria -
Special K protein water was on my list to purchase but not the shake. My last had sugar free carnation breakfast drinks, Whey and in my area there are special stores selling products for the weight loss surgeries.

What Was Your Final "straw That Broke The Camels Back"
viktoryalynne replied to bigjoe102's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hello ~ I'm Victoria, My finally straw was no longing wanting to leave my home because of being so ashamed of myself. My health, the extra weight on my new knee replacement and other joints. Plus fib., acid reflex disease and recently placed on high blood pressure pills. This was a two year decision before I finally said, ENOUGH.......... -
Who Are You?
viktoryalynne replied to illgeturhairdid's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hello ~ Victoria from California & Michigan. I divide my time between both states. I never had a weight problem until my work injuries in 2007. Both my knees & Achilles' tendon were severely injured. And being Worker's Compensation I had no surgeries (as needed) for injuries until 2009, & 2011. In the mean time I gained 75 pounds. No work and no activities I could do. I'm scheduled for sleeve in Oct. 2014. I'm excited to start to feel my life is going to have me in control again. I realize this is a tool & not a fix. It is a lifetime change that look forward to with a positive outlook. I keep positive by attending support meetings, research, and knowing my life span will increase. I have goals too. I have two daughters being married within 4 weeks apart in Sept. & Oct. of 2015. And yes I want to dance.......... -
