I completely understand all sides of this discussion, but I must ask- who has actually had a problem with slippage due to progressing sooner than they were supposed to? There are thousands of people on this site, so if this really was a valid problem, I think we would've heard about it happening more. I'm not trying to start an argument or anything, I'm just curious to hear if it's actually happened.

Hi Everyone- I just came home from the hospital yesterday and I'm feeling great. I am pretty sore, but I am already walking quite a bit and can sit up. I am having trouble drinking enough protien and fluids, but I'm going to try and do better on that today. How is everyone else today? Jen

Thank you all so much for the responses. I'm really wondering if I should do the pre-op diet for longer than three days. And what exactly did you all eat before and after? What brands and where did you buy it? How long were you on clear liquids and then soft foods after your surgery. Thanks again for the support!

dreamn'2bthin I have the same surgery date as you! Yay for us! and Georgia Girl- I'm also 27 and gained weight after high school. I totally understand where you are coming from!

Hi all! I just signed up for this website and am having my surgery on November 14th. I'm a little nervous, but mostly excited. I have a ton of questions- but of course I can't think of them all right now. How long did most of you do the pre-op liquid diet and what exactly did you all eat? I was told by my doctor to do the diet for three days, but I will do it for longer if it will help make the surgery easier or less painful afterwards. Please give me your advice- anything will help. Thanks! Jen
