i think you should go ahead and get your tat's but make sure you really want them as you can't get rid of them easily if you dont like them, i love mine

hi daisy22 have you asked your doctor to refer you for surgery if so get him/her to do so and just keep on pestering the pct , i am waiting to hear if they are going to fund my surgery and i asked to have it done at a private hospital, the lady from the hospital is chasing up the pct on my behalf,good luck and keep pestering

hi, i went for my 1st visit on monday i was weighed and measured how tall i am, filled in a form about myself, d.o.b, address, drs name , do i work etc. then i went in to see surgeon and he explained about the procedure and asked me about my medical history he was very through, i then went to see the dietician who explained a lot about the operation and what to expect and she gave me loads of paperwork on the operation and before and after care, im just waiting to see if the pct will fund my operation as its at a private hospital, good luck

hi, i lost my dad coming up 6 years now, i at first felt guilty at special times if i found myself happy,laughing etc, but i asked myself would my dad want me to be sad all the time and the answer hell no! i try to be happy for my mum on christmas day as this was their anniversary, i still miss my dad like mad and think about him a lot but as the saying goes time is a great healer, hang on in there xx

hi, the pct stands for primary care trust,they give the say so on funding for all things be it on the nhs or private

Hi, I Went Yesterday And The Surgeon Approved Me I Even Went To See The Dietician, She Gave Me All The Bumph About Before,during And After The Op , So Fingers Crossed The Pct Will Say I Can Be Funded For It

hello everyone ,one of my relatives went for a consultation for banding and was told that if she waits 6 weeks for it to be done it would be 2 grand cheaper [the woman who told her this said " i know i shouldn't be telling you this "], i dont know if this applies to just the clinic that my relative went to or all clinics but maybe worth asking if anyone out there is going private:faint:

hello everyone, have just joined up, my story so far, i have researched on the net about lap banding and went to ask my dr for a referal letter to have it done at a private clinic, which she did for me after she had consulted with my other dr, got in touch with the private clinic who approached the pct on my behalf, the pct want me to go to the clinic on 5th november for a consultation and to fill in a form for the pct, so fingers crossed, my dr says the waiting list for nhs is 3 years [boo]. i am the only person that has asked for this at my dr's ,i am so desperate for this operation i have now been a non smoker for 5 weeks, if only i could give food up this easy!
