I am hoping to be banded in February. I had my last psych eval on Jan 23rd, and her report has been sent to my clinic, so I am hoping that it will get sent in soon and the insurance will approve me fast!!!

I too am hoping for Feb surgery. I am still waiting for my psych's report to be sent to my clinic, and then to insurance. They tell me I should know back from the insurance by mid February, but they dont seem to realize that I want to have this in February! -
I am hoping to have my surgery in February. I had my last psych appt on Wed Jan 23, so I am waiting for her report to be sent to insurance. Ic hecked on this, and they told me the report is still in the typing phase and it hasn't been sent to my Dr yet. This is all very frustrating, as they tell me I should hear somenthing by Mid Feb from Insurance. I just want to have the surgery in February, I hope that they can get their acts together and get my paperwork submitted. It is so maddening dealing with Dr's offices and insurance companies!!!

There isn't a way to trick the system about the sleep apnea, and I wouldn't hope for having it. My father had sleep apnea, and narcolepsy and he ended up dying of falling asleep in the car and had a fatal car accident. Just something to think about, be thankful if you dont have it, dont wish for it!!

I feel this way. I am scared about the anasthesia. I have never been put to sleep before. I know feel comfortable with my Doctor, though and I am sure that everything will be fine, and I am sure that everything will be fine for you, too. I dont have a surgery date yet, hope to be banded in February, waiting for insurance approval. -
Thank you! That's what I was thinking as well! I used to work for an insurance company, so I have since it take just a couple of days as well! I hope that mine goes fast!

I also know of trainers who have had problems with being overweight themsleves, so I think they are very understanding and that is their goal, to help people lose weight!

Stabbing pains................

I would also have them check your pancreas. I had pain on my left side, and it was awful. I ended up being diagnosed with Pancreatitis, and I know caffeine can aggravate that as well. -

Hi! My name is Mike from MN, I am 32 years old, and I am happily married to my beautiful wife, Laura! We have been married 2 years now. We have 3 cats, Toby, Zac and Sneakers, who we adore. No children ... yet! I have had weight problems all my life and have a BMI of 41, I recently got it down from 45. I just had my last psych eval and hope to be banded in Feb, if the insurance doesnt take too long to come back with their decision. I weigh 278 pounds, down from 308 in October,as I had a attack of Pancreatitis. I am diabetic, have acid reflux, depression, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and high triglycerides. So, I can hardly wait to get rid of some of these health problems!!! I know so many people who have had success with this surgery and I cant wait to be one of them!! My father passes away at the age of 50 years old, and my Mother has more health problems than I can even begin to explain, so I thought I would do something positive for myslef so that I can live a long, health life! My Dad's father also died at 50, so I want to live long after 50! -
Yes, that can be a challenge, I have found. I have been told this and also not to drink 1 1/2 hours after meals as well. So, I am trying to get used to this.

My psych actually had told me at one time that you should be stress-free in your life when having the surgery! Good one! As if anyone's life is stress-free!!! I would agree to tell them what you have to, cause they determine the surgery for you, from what I have found. I finally had my last psych eval on Wed, and now the info is all going to be submitted to insurance! Yeah!!!
-
I just had my last visit with my psycholgist today and they are going to submit my info to insurance. They said I should know if approved or not by mid Feb. And then I could have surgery mid Feb or early March! I am so happy about this!!!
-
That is great! I just found out today that my clinic is submitting the info to insurance and I should know by mid feb if I am approved, then I can have the surgery in Feb or March!

I have went through all the steps recommended by my Dr, now I am being told that I need to see the dietician again, and see the psychologist again. What a pain, since I was told everything was being sent to insurance, and now I find out that it hasn't been sent in. This is such a let down... Anyone else had this experience?

People are so cruel. I have never commented to someone about their weight. Why is someone else's weight my business? I just recently had someone tell me, "Well, at least your not going to be as fat as you Uncle's." What is wrong with people? I am going to start thinking of comebacks as well, like, Do you know your being rude?

They said that I need to have more counseling for the stressors in my life, which I feel like stress is simply a part of life, and one of my stressors is my weight. I have been in the hospital 2 times for Pancreatitis, which is caused by High Triglycerides due to my weight.
