Yes, def for me! I was sleeved on the16th n back to work on the 29th. Pre- planning is a must with work , life, my family ...cause there just isn't enough time. Still going to bed very early. I feel ur pain. After working n shopping who can think of cooking something? This past weekend I had family help me and they pre made meals, snacks Etc just for me for the week. I was bedridden all weekend. It has made the beginning of this week so much easier. That being said, it's Thursday night n all the meals are done n gone. So yes, I stood in front of the fridge n had no idea what I was going to eat for dinner 2nite.... Lol so much for my prep work! This journey we are on can be lonely at times, and boy this first month has had it's moments of emotions !!! Thank goodness for this site and all of the wonderful people sharing . I guess, we just really need to spend time on the weekends preparing and planning our meals n snacks for the week. This weekend I'm going to prepare n also freeze some mini meals , so next week when I run out, the microwave will become my best friend. I'm down 36lbs from 2 week preop????

Biotene Mouthwash is very helpful, I use it multiple times a day, it also comes in a paste.

I had that something terrible. I was told to gargle with Bioteen Mouthwash. It def helped me. U can get it anywhere , CVS, large grocery stores.

Hi! I'm late sorry. Been in bed 4 days with arthritic gout in both feet unable to walk. It's been so so painful ???? I'm on prednisone now n on the mend. Weighted in today at the doctors and up 1 lb. I'm just so happy to be able to walk again. I didn't over eat, I just did not move.... Literally! Maybe a plateau also? We will see how the prednisone works with my weight too. Say a pray please for no more pain soon. It has been really debilitating ???? Weigh in 216 - up 1 lb

are you measuring everything before you drink it? That is so important. Only drink small sips and listen to your body. No more gulping and chugging , not sure

My best friend brought me n stayed through the surgery. When I woke up at 5pm she was there with my husband and 4 kids. I kissed them told them to go home and I went right back to sleep n when I woke up again around 7 they were gone and I was fine and relied on the nurses and staff to walk with me and take care n they were great. My doc kept the catheter in over night so I didn't need to get up to pee. It really depends on your family needs as well as you own.

F 53 yrs young 5'3" and shrinking ... Lol SW was 250 size 22/24 , 3x shirts (huge boobs!) Sleeved -3 weeks post op And my old18 pants are falling off , yay! My 16's are packed away in the attic and I need my kids to dig them out can't believe it! I just didn't expect this so soon! This weekend I gave my sister a big bag of clothes I'm already out of. I was excited for me n felt bad for her. She had the lap band n did terrible with it n just had it taken out. My goal right now is 140 / back when I was that weight it was a size 10, now I am told it is a 6-8. I think I like these Vanity size numbers... Lol I am so excited, so motivated and feeling soo blessed????

I have a similar pain all of a sudden. I am only 3 weeks post surgery , but had an amazingly pain free post op. 2 days ago I was bent over for about 1-2 minutes picking stuff off the floor and began getting pain on my right side of my abdomen. Now, yesterday every time I moved a certain way that pain was prominent. I laid down after work n did nothing all night in fear of straining it more . I have my follow appt in Thursday and was shoo g to address it then . What do u think?

How much daily protein is everyone getting? And what type if Shampoos do u recommend ?

Thx so much! I was so so mentally ready for this surgery ... Finally... Lol. Took me 5 years to get the nerve n during that time I added on more weight. Having all of you for support and to follow and read your journeys is such a continual inspiration. I know I'm not alone and we will all do it together! ????????

i don't think so. I'm suppose to eat every 3 hours- 2-4 oz. What is ur prescribed eating schedule from ur doctor? I set my phone alarm for 7 am, 10, 1pm, 4, 7 and 10 pm. I'm 3 weeks post surgery tomorrow ( sleeved 9/16) 1st week was really difficult n started purées for 2nd n 3rd week. Are u measuring everything u try n eat? If not, That might help. Otherwise I would def call ur doctor . I still don't get everything in, n it def depends on thickness and texture . How about everyone else?

my doc put me on an antacid for 30 days post surgery . They recommend Prilosec, Prevacid , Protonix , Nexium, Dexilant or AcipHex. I am crushing a Prilosec every morning and in the late afternoon/ evening I eat 2 Tums for Calcium n haven't had any issues.

my doctor told me that Sleeve patients should never use straws because we swallow too much air with them, you should check. I'm curious to see what ur doctor says. They seem to have quite different rules across the country.

I went back to work last Monday n it's been hard cause I'm very tired everyday. I work in sales n had to go back on the road. The upside is I'm down 36 lbs total from 2 week preop diet. The loss has def slowed down when I switch to purées but is still coming off. What is everyone doing for energy? I have a bad ankle and walking for exercise after working all day is still too painful.
