  2. Sleeved on 9/23 surgery day 307 today 274. Doing great I do sometimes still get tightness in my chest with eating some foods (or may be that I still eat a little too fast) and it also happens with certain fluids. Espically plain water.

    Favorite Protein Drink?

I use zpro 25 It is really good and tastes great even when mixed with just water. I add pnut butter or PB2 and banana. Then recently I discovered Cellucor Cinnamon swirl is GREAT and their other flavors pretty good too. I had a really hard time finding one I could stomach.

  6. I was sleeved on 9/23. It was done at a outpatient surgery center I went in at 7am and was home and in my bed by 4pm same day. The day I went in i was 307 and today i'm weighing in at 275. All my clothes are falling off and everyone is noticing my weight loss and i'm loving it. Day 1 at home post surgery i pretty much ate pain pills and did ice chips and slept. I felt like crap. The next day i felt a little better, was able to sip on fluids but again mostly slept. Every day got a little better for me. I was not coming close at all to my recommended fluid and protein. Went to Dr. for week 1 post op and got the go ahead to blend any soup i wanted. Which was nice from broth and Popsicles. I got a good protein that is easy for me to get down and i was doing much better getting fluid and protein. Friday 10/10 i went to nutritionist that the surgeon works with and got my eating plan. I do breakfast, 1/2 shake snack, Lunch, 1/2 shake snack then dinner. My surgeon has a great program with the nutritionist she gives recipes and meal plans shopping lists and lots of great resources. It really helps to have this added support. I am doing really well, I bought a treadmill to use and I am going to try to start doing a little yoga for now. I'm happy with my loss thus far and am VERY happy I did the sleeve. It truly amazes me just how little I eat and it feels like I just had a Thanksgiving day feast!
  7. I had the same issue trying to decide which to have. My surgeon said I was a good candidate for either one. I did a lot of research and went to support meeting and spoke to people who had the surgery and I ended up going with the sleeve. I ultimately chose the sleeve because I didn't want to have the Vitamin deficiencies down the road and also because RNY works by restriction as well as malabsorption, i didn't want issues when I got older. I have a friend that did the RNY that now has to have blood transfusions every few weeks. I'm kinda young (34) and just dont want any of the issues that come with it. Also the fact that when you get older or sick, it's always a challenge to find a medicine as your body don't absorb normally. I had the sleeve on 9/23 and so far so good. Down 19 lbs as of yesterday from my surgery date.
  8. Where in Florida are you? I'm in Apollo Beach near Tampa.... Sleeved on 9/23
  9. How are you loosing so fast... my surgery is Tuesday morning. I'm so excited. What do you use for protein powder, there are so many out there.... what are you doing to have lost so quick. What was your starting weight if you don't mind me asking
  10. Ohhh... I love the passion fruit tea. If you go to Walmart and buy Tazo passion tea they sell the iced tea bags in a box. I put 2 bags in a pot and leave on stove for about an hour then I put in gallon pitcher with 1.5 cups splenda. It's awesome and tastes just like starbucks. If you cant find the iced tea bags get the regular ones but use 4or5 for a gallon

    Discouraged with "planning" meals

I was going to ask the same question... what size mason jars. Also if you could make a recipe book/list on here that would be great. I am having sx 9/23 and would love to do this sounds quick easy and good.
