My DR had me wait 12 weeks but I now drink them in my Water and take in capsules on a daily basis as needed. I can only speak for YL oils though.

Walk as much as you can. It will relieve the pressure quicker.

Prayers and positive thoughts for you! How are you getting home from hospital?

Sleeved 10/21. Kept two nights. Pain meds wreaked havoc on me. Finally found a liquid one my body didn't react to. Much better now I am home. Sleep and a shower does wonders. I had my hubby put scale away while I was in hospital. Not weighing myself until post op appt in two weeks. I recommend if you did not take measurements of yourself to do so. Sometimes scale doesn't move but you are losing inches. Go easy on yourself. You just went through major surgery. Give your body and mind sometime to heal.

Thank you for sharing this. I have a three year old at home and that is one of my concerns. My husband will be home the first week but I will be on my own with her after that. Congrats on your new journey!

I go on Thursday for a clinical seminar with the RN to go over what to expect before and after the surgery as well as what to expect the first couple weeks after surgery and then after that I go for all the pre-op testing (EKG, bloodwork etc). Then a week from today I go in for the Upper Gastroscopy. Things are moving quick now that I have gotten the approval and date of surgery. Anyone feeling anxious? I am so excited but so nervous.

Surgery Scheduled - Praying for Insurance Approval
mgillard posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So this is all becoming very real. I have been in the midst of appointments for the last 3 months to prepare all the necessary paperwork to meet with my surgeon today to prepare for submitting to the insurance company After completing the psych eval, nut appts, sleep study, blood work and letter of support from my doctor, I finally met with my surgeon this morning. I am scheduled for October 21st. I am excited, scared, happy, nervous and a bunch of other emotions. I am praying there are no issues with the insurance. I have BC BS Empire. I was 39.2 BMI in May when I first started this process and since i quit smoking in June (been smoking since I was 15 and am 39) I put on 10 pounds which put me at a BMI of 40.5 now. So if they just look at my current I should be good but not sure how all that works. My insurance does not require 6 months of weigh ins or supervised diet. If anyone have any advice, feedback or words of wisdom for this journey please feel free to share. My next steps are pre-op tests, upper gastro scope, Clinical nurse Specialist visit and medical clearance appt with my PCP. Fingers crossed that all goes smoothly.- 4 replies
