The waiting does suck! Hopefully it will all move very quickly for you. I was stunned how fast my approval came back. Good luck!

Good luck!!!!

If you have approval or pretty sure you are getting it, ask the doctor to put you on a waiting list. Sometime due to health reasons or insurance reasons cancellations happen and you could be moved up. Doesn't hurt to ask Good luck!

Looking for a surgeon in Rochester New York

Just to clarify, Dr. DiBenedetto is not mean in way shape or form. In fact, he has quite a sense of humor when it is appropriate. His main concern is that the patient understand the seriousness of this procedure. He cares about his patients. -
I am scheduled for Oct 21st. Surgeons office submitted to insurance company yesterday. Fingers crossed.

If you need a DR to hold your hand and make you feel all warm and fuzzy all the time he is not it but if you want someone that will tell you all the facts and be matter of fact with the expectations and possible complications he is the guy. -

The itching is an allergic reaction to a med. Talk with your doctor and see if there is there is another option of med. Just because you don't get a rash doesn't mean you are not allergic to it. Check with your doc. -

Dr. DiBenedetto out of Rochester General Hospital is a big advocate for the sleeve if you are looking for other options. I asked him which surgery he prefers. His response was, "whichever surgery is the best for the patient in front of me". -

I am currently in the insurance approval process and my surgery is scheduled for Oct 21st with Dr. DiBenedetto out of Rochester General. He gives everything to you straight. No fluff. Very serious about his job as a surgeon and wants to see commitment out of his patient. I get the impression he is a perfectionist and to me, you could not ask for a better quality in a surgeon. -

Lindalue, if you don't mind my asking do you have comorbids? I see that you are the same height as me and weigh a little less. I don't have any which is why I am a little nervous. I am right on the line....
