  1. Hey guys, I am around the Dfw area and waiting on insurance to kick in. I already talked to Dr. Maese and his office about wanting to get the lapband done and maked sure that they accept my ins..Yes, they do So I am willing to hear any helpful info you may have on all of this...I have been reading alot of your posts and comments lately and they have helped so much. I am 26 and have 3 kids, one of them is a toddler (20 months) who sleeps in a crib. So I have two Questions.... 1) I am the only available person that can put him in his crib everyday will this effect the lapband? Not to mention that he is a Big momma's boy 2) I love to drink Water and it just get's really hot out here most the time. We go outside and swim and my kid's participate in sports in the hottest times of the year. So ofcourse I get really thirsty and did I mention love water. lol Is this a problem? Thanks:banana

    Back from Revision Surgery

I also would like to know about the swiss miss Q that mae asked. You all are doing great...I hope that my insurance comes in really soon. We are suppose to haev it already but this company is a little slow. What makes it worse is that they were bought out and now our FREE insurance will cost us 800$ a month. I am not sure if we can manage that right now. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

    Another Game

Actually we had two bulls that we bottled fed for 6 months...and they were our guard dogs. lol atleast that is what they thought...When my Mom had her Massive heart attacks, OMG our oldest bull was so PO'd. He got out tore up our chicken pin's and wanted her back home. After that he hated ANY men to come over (strangers) and could not stand a emergency vehicle whatsoever. And they tell us that they are dumb, no way are they. They are very smart and intelligent by far. Our bull would kiss us and protect us and let us know if we had any thief's on the property at all. We chose to give him to a farm that he would have several wife's since our new neighbor's would not leave him alone. He was in a fence and hot wire but they would come on our property and their kids and dogs would not leave him alone. Finally the hunting dogs came in his fence and chased him and he ran out his fence and was in the road. (Mind oyu we are in the middle of nowhere with two neighbors only) He was in the street and the guy had a gun and was going to shoot him. (can we say uh hello???) I went outside and saw him in the road and yelled for him and he came home...but after that we feared that everytime we went outside that he would be dead from them. (that is not a way to die) So we found a safer home away from them. My family misses him so mucha nd oh my mom's heart was broke, he is part of her healing process after she was able to come home. But we will always love him!!!!! The dogs next door also killed about 20 ducks and ???roosters and chickens and ate so many eggs with babies. UUGGGHHHH We love animals!!!!

    Another Game

I am Brandi. I have three kids. Two girls ages almost 9, almost 6 and a son who is 20 months. I spend most my time with cheer, soccer or school activities for the kids. I am a SAHM and hoping to go back to coll soon. I am waiting for my son to get a little older so that my mom can watch him. She has had some heart problems...so we want him not to be such a hassle. lol I love music, talking, computer and reality tv..YES!!! I live on a small ranch/farm and we have sooooo many pets. 3 chiuhuahuas, 1 bassett hound, 1 cocker/boxer, 3 cats in house, 2 betta fish's with names. OUtside we have (pets ) 20 cats with names, only two dogs now, (we found loving homes for the many others that have been thrown away here) 1 horse we saved, 10 bunnies with names, 2 doggies, lots of chickens, roosters, guines, turkeys, pigeons, ducks and geese. All with names..I am sure I am forgetting something..

So Sick and Tired of This Battle

I will keep my fingers crossed for you. I hope that you talk about all these feelings with your therapist...and that it will help you on your journey. I dont think that when they suggested fro you to read Jessica's story they meant to compare the two. from what I grasped they just meant cheep up a little. She has several problems that were not related to being overweight. We have heard a update and hopefully she is still with us and most importantly with her son who CRIES fro his mommy to be here everyday. Not to look at the way you two have chose to want to loose weight. Quote:If it was then I would have done what you all have suggested. Drop out of school? I dont think so I dont know very many successful corporate attorneys who dropped out of high school. I dont know very many people who got scholarships when they took extra time to finish. I think they meant from starting college, not HS. To try and clear your mind and start fresh. quote:I am a powerful and influential individual, and will become more powerful once I am skinny. I hope that you succeed and grauate and become a great Lawyer. You can put your mind to anything and succeed. But just keep that in mind. I am not meaning any of this negatively, I am really trying to keep in mind that you are 17 in HS and depressed. One more thing, you say you do not each much. If you starve your body then you will NOT loose weight. Your bosy is going to hold on and scream for more sothat it will have energy. You have to eat normal meals or try atleast (I know that u take med's) but try and get the right amount of meals in. You will find that you will feel alot better and healthier. I am sure that your parents would not mind helping to prepare you meals and count the calories out for you. I know that ou want to be very independant..but they did create you and love you no matter what. So try and let them help. If you cannot do that then maybe buy prepackaged food from walmart or soemthing like that. (thought I would throw in the prepackaged food since you are going to coll away from your family. I hope that you succeed, I really mean this. PLEASE DO NOT BASH ANYTHING THAT I HAVE SAID TO YOU, IF YOU DO NOT AGREE FIND A NICER WAY TO PUT IT. I HAVE DONET HE SAME FOR YOU (TRUST ME) MAYBE YOU CAN FIND A BUDDY HERE THAT YOU CAN TALK WITH WHEN YOU ARE FEELING BAD, OR BY PHONE SINCE THAT IS PROB EASIER FOR YOU. I would but already have my hands full with three kids, school fixing to start, kids activities and many other crazy things. Maybe a youth group would help??? Just a thought. Ps. sorry fro any typos, my lil son is sitting with me. He s not feeling well at all, DARN that stomach virus going around here. Hopefully it does not pass thru the whole family, especially since school is fixing to start. lol.

    Please send a Prayer

I really am at a loss of words. (and that NEVER happens) I have tears in my eyes and my face in my hands. I hope she is ok, her last post was after finding out she has breast cancer and that was a bit ago. I will pray for her and her family. I will never forget this journey she is struggling through-ever. (wiping tears again) When anyone hears from her again please let us know.

    Something Gross

I am not banded yet..so I have been trying to follow the rules such as chewing my food very very well, not drinking with meals and so on.. The only two meats that I really care to eat are chicken and baked pork chops. But my habit and evil food are hot cheetos. I try and try and have been trying to stay away from them since I am wanting to get banded. I have done pretty good. (I try not to keep any in the house) But kudos to all of those that are doing so well. I am so happy that when I will need support that I can come here.

Dr. Benevideas (sp) website addy please

I had his website addy at one time but somehow lost it??? LOL who knows, but I thought that his office was in Grand Prairie? (maybe he has more than one office) I will take any other Doctor's website addy's too. Thank you, I will check back to see if you found anything on him. At this time I am just really searching and trying to see who all is out there and what any of you think or have experienced with your Doctor's or any that you did not want to use.
