Your welcome i am excited for you.

Bring lose fitting clothes that's comfortable. Hospital stay 1 to 2 days depending on how your doing. Make sure you walk as much as you can before you leave to prevent clots. No cream is needed and incisions will fade. I call them my pokes. Your questions are great ones everyone that has had this surgery has wondered the same thing. Relax and you will be so happy you have taken this journey. I have no regrets.

I had my surgery 7/30/14 gb I do not regret doing it ibhave lost weight feel better that I have lost weight. I say if your just 27 and your 405 just wait until you have surgery, you will have an evwn longer life ahead. Weight causes so many problems I know we all know. I say go for it you will be fine don't worry just worryvabout the clothes you will need afterwards. -
Yes bills will get behind but my body is more important than bills. I live pay check to pay check too my long t we rm shirt term disability sent me money and I used my pto time as well. I know everyone may not have these. Im saying for your own sake take at least 4 weeks.
-
Look people you need morw than one or two weeks. Your body will let you know. Bills will be here when we are dead and gone. If you have insurance on your job fmla and short term disability or long term disability will pay you until you go back to work. For all the people who are going to have surgery give yourself 6 weeks cause you are going to need it and do exercise a little at a time to try and regain strength. Just a little cause you will be tired cause of the change your body has been through.

Medicblue13 pkease do not strain on anything. I know you have to lift ppl
-
Oh ok still be careful. Why the lap band
-
Sylvia do you still feel weak a little? I hope you don't have to strain while your giving care, you don't want to bust ant stitches.
-
If your job has short term and long term dis your job will be secure.
-
Linalue you need more than a week. Who's going to take care of the caregiver if you hurt yourself. Don't rush please.
-
Do not lift heavy things at all or you will bust your stitches.

I am a cook at a hospital. I have to put groceries up on tues and fri ist more than 20 pounds. So I have to be out six weeks. Now for the nurses and everyone else in the hospital that has had it in other departments can afford to come back to work earlier cause they do not strain on nothing. Im 5 weeks post. If it wasn't for bills I would stay out longer. Im not going to hurt myself for no one, so please give yourself time to heal no straining focus on your diet it is hard be strong. Good luck to us all on our journey to better health congrats.
