Sounds like you are doing great!
-
I'm about 10 weeks out and have tolerated everything. No cravings EXCEPT sushi. When did you eat sushi? Sashimi? Maki? Sometimes a restaurant will use soy paper if that helps.
-
So I should have stuck with the sashimi not chirashi. I had a minuscule amount of rice and it doesn't sit so well. The fish was pure heaven though and high in protein!!
-
That's it. I'm ordering chirashi delivery tonight! Can't wait any longer. Chirashi is just sashimi over rice (I'll get brown) I'm very excited. I can control the rice this way (I'll probably measure out one ounce)!

Orthostatic hypotension is kicking my Butt!
Bndtoslv replied to Elode's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Smart. I am going to try that. -
I was specifically told not to count my calories or carbs JUST protein and water. I do anyway and at about 10 weeks out usually eat 700-800. The biggest reason I do it is because I use my fitness pal for protein water tracking and it gives me Cals too! It's much easier to track after survey. You'll see. Your nut sounds like a piece of work. There is more than one way to do things.

If your neurologist cleared you I bet you can find another surgeon who is more comfortable. Which state? Maybe we can help. -
Orthostatic hypotension is kicking my Butt!

This happened to me when I got near my goal weight. It went away with a few months of maintaining. Just be careful if you take a bath! -
Approved for Band not Sleeve;(Need some advice.
Bndtoslv replied to You'reGonnaHearMeRoar's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was extremely successful for many years with the band but had to have it removed after 8 years due to complications. I'd get a second opinion in your place. -
Check your scale. I am about 9 weeks now (maybe 10?) and I went away from vacation and KNOW that I lost weight and my husband told me he could tell. Well I got home and jumped on the scale and i was 5 lbs HEAVIER than when I left 2 weeks ago. Obviously I was pissed. I moved the scale to the place in the bathroom where it was before I left and it turns out I lost about 4 1/2 lbs in those 2 weeks.

Any Band to Sleeve Success Stories Out There?!?
Bndtoslv replied to lisaluvsgreys's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
With your current bmi I would go for the sleeve over bypass. I had my band removed and gained a lot. It's hard to remember years later what it feels like with zero restriction. I was like an empty pit and completely starving in the months before my sleeve. -
Family Emergency Making Things Difficult
Bndtoslv replied to WorkinOnMe's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
So over the last few years my family had many many health emergencies. I gained a ton of weight. I urge you to take care of yourself during this hard time. I know it is hard in the middle of it but I am paying the price fully now. Good luck and I hope everything works out. -
Feel like eating too much?
Bndtoslv replied to wagyu's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
A little intense no? Isn't this a support board? In think everyone is entitled to their process. I went through this over 8 years ago and maintained for many years BELOW goal and I am a firm believer that everyone should feel what they are feeling and feel validated. I enjoy your posts and think you have a lot to contribute but those new in the process are entitled to their anxiety. -
Why is is easier after surgery?
Bndtoslv replied to Leesa926's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
The gherlin removal really helps me make smarter choices. The smaller stomach keeps my portions small. You still have to do work though. -
So true. I am op. My stall was over after 2 weeks. Coincidentally upped my calories to about 800 at 5 weeks.
-
Hi All, So for months I have been reading all of the posts on this board, rolling my eyes at the many three-week stall posts. I am 3 weeks tomorrow and I only lost about 1lb since last tuesday. I am anticipating that I won't lose much this week after being about 19lbs down since surgery! I just wanted to put out there that I am sympathetic to the stall thing. It is really hard especially the first time - you fear the weight loss will never pick up again. Funny, I don't remember this happening with the lap band for me in 2007...

2 month post op diet
Bndtoslv replied to on the fence 2's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You will be fine! I am on vacation now with my family. I am almost exactly 2 months out. We have a kitchen but go out frequently. I made pancakes for my family today and wasn't even slightly tempted. I made egg whites with cheese for myself. Last night we were out and I had a cucumber salad and a burger patty no bun. On an island you should have tons of seafood options which are great post op. Enjoy! -
Can I have regular coffee?

I am 8 weeks out now and had s cucumber and tomato salad last night. Just about 2 spoonfuls. It was fine. I was allowed to phase in all foods after 3 weeks leaving crunch vegetables and soft bread for last. I'm not trying soft bread until I'm at goal.
