Why can't I update my weight?

What browser are you using please? Safari! I actually gained back the 2lbs I had lost on Tuesday overnight so not so urgent a problem yet! -
Roll call all who had surgery JUNE 2015
Bndtoslv replied to JosieAppleHead's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
June 30th here. I thought I was down 20-21 lbs as of Tuesday but I weighed myself this morning and I am up 2lbs. That sounds impossible right? I've been eating 600-700 per day. Averaging 60gms of protein…. I have a few more weeks before I can do high impact expertise but I can do everything else starting now. -
So my doctor only does them in 2 parts for the following reasons: 1) you are twice as likely to get a leak in a one step procedure (although risk is still low) and 2) you are more likely to get a larger sleeve with a pouch where the band is (although you might still get one even with 2-step procedure). Anyway I had mine in 2 steps and was not happy to have 2 surgeries but in retrospect it was nice to recover from the band removal before getting the sleeve. Each were difficult for their own separate reasons but I think that the band removal was more painful than the sleeve.

I can't be the only one who had this experience. In the recovery room and during my 2 day stay in the hospital EVERY time I drifted off to sleep I would have images of food in my head. It was so weird. I have never had anything like that before and since I left the hospital it hasn't happened. I wasn't hungry at all and was even nauseas so I am guessing it has something to do with my stomach hormones? Or maybe my body was saying farewell to food. anyone else?

Are poached eggs sliders? I was able to eat 2 today without yoke since it slid out and I'm 3 weeks out.

Food Dreams After Surgery

It felt almost supernatural. While I was recovering I was like "how can I be having these bizarre vivid food images in my head"? -
Why can't I update my weight?
Bndtoslv replied to Bndtoslv's topic in Website Assistance & Suggestions
Maybe I am going to the wrong place? Not very tech savvy but I go to the place where it says update weight and (we have lost a zillion lbs) and I can't put my cursor or delete my old weight. -
Gained most of my weight back
Bndtoslv replied to frumpy69's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Having lost 100% of my weight with the lap band and then gaining it ALL back very quickly with my pregnancies and lap band failure I know that it is true that we will be on a diet and battling obesity forever. We just cannot relate to food like other people. It is a huge bummer but everyone has something that they have to battle in life and this is it for us. good luck. -
When your Nutritionist and Surgeon tell you different things
Bndtoslv replied to Ashley1213's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
This sounds weird. I would talk to nut again - they shouldn't be giving conflicting information. I was able to do full liquids in the hospital and soft foods a week later and I have lost almost 20lbs. -
Band to Sleeve lose more slowly?
Bndtoslv replied to Tazwella's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I lost very quickly for a band patient. I was down 110 lbs in a year. I am not sure how it will go this time but 3 weeks out I have already lost more than I had with the band at the same point. Just a few lbs but still more! -
I get that. I don't mind a stall. It is all good. I am wearing a dress I haven't worn since last summer today My point was that I understand how frustrating it is to go through your first stall because you have the added fear that the surgery won't work for you!

What does it feel like to have the sleeve v. band?
Bndtoslv replied to buttercup06's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have a similar story. Babies not virus screwed with my band. If it is any comfort to you I am 3 weeks out today and I am down 20lbs since the 2 day pre-op liquid diet and 16lbs since the morning of surgery. I am pleased with this but hope it will continue! I do feel like my experience for better or worse is different than the people who didn't have a revision. I don't seem to have suffered the same swollen stomach as other patients for the first few weeks. After a couple of days liquids were not a problem for me nor were purees. As of today I am able to integrate new foods in and so far nothing has been problematic. I do not know if this is because I am a revision patient or if I know how to chew, take small bites and small sips because my band was very tight for a long time. Good luck in September! -
239.5. I think I'm up for 3 week stall. Down about 19-20 lbs in 3 weeks!
-
I'm similar! Just sleeved 3 weeks ago and down about 18-19lbs. I also lost over 100lbs with the band and can't sit to pull out that clothing!

Has anyone who has had the sleeve found that they had an increased desire for sweets after several years of maintaining? This was my problem with the lap band. I was always a more savory food lover but when I was at my goal weight with the band I had huge sugar/sweets cravings. As soon as my band was removed I lost interest in sweets again.

Maybe dumb question but my throat hurts periodically after eating. Is that the restriction? I'm 2 weeks out on puree. I are 4 ozs of very watery purred chili and my throat had hurt for hours. Not like a sore throat but more like but like it's bruised.
-
So we all know that it feels hugely different. I am on puréed and am having trouble knowing what full is. I can tell you I am satisfied with a small amount of food and once or twice I've gone over and I feel slightly nauseas. Any help former banders? What else should I be feeling here

Full with band vs full with sleeve.

I ate 4 ozs of puréed chili tonight and my chest and throat hurt. Is that the restriction? -
I update it =)You give your weights each week, and I usually have it done on Monday evening and then again on Wednesday for those I missed. Sorry I didn't understand! 243 Monday!

I don't know how to update the spreadsheet!

Full with band vs full with sleeve.

Me too! I'm down about 17lbs from my 2 day clear liquid diet. I can't help but worrying though since it has been so easy compared to the band. I keep wondering if I'll have adequate restriction as a revision patient. What does restriction feel like to you? I feel restriction finally...with sleeve. I never did with the band. This was the best decision ever! You may be worried because this feeling is all new...the band never did the job...like sleeve. You will have true restriction when u move to real foods...believe me! I can eat a couple ounces at a time...then I'm full abd I'm never hungry between my meals! That's helpful. Right now I can eat 3-4 oz of puréed and feel satisfied and full for long periods of time. In fact I don't really ever feel hungry I'm just wondering what the actual restriction feels like! Like what if I ate 5 ozs?! Guessing I don't want to find out but with the band we know what would happen -
Can I come over?
