African American Sleevers
jelmore8312000 replied to ATLGirl's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi I'm six weeks out sleeved August 18th and I was worried about my hair along with everything else because my hair was already thin. But the worries is gone because with all the vitamins I'm taking now which I never took before I'm actually seeing new growth and my nails are starting to look healthy. I've had always worn nail tip but now I don't have to. I love my new found health even though the wl is slow since surgery. Sw 278 cw 249. Good luck -

I usually cook really big Sunday dinners at my house almost like thanksgiving my first Sunday u was able to eat solid I just ate small portion of certain things to get a taste throughout the day and night and it worked out fine. I stayed within my calorie limit and my proteins were good my scale didn't go up lol yes I checked. I'm sure you will be fine and adjust well by then. Good luck to us all on this journey -
I'm 4 weeks out and would to have just one cup like I used to have with my whip cream on top. Lol I dream about it now and look at my pictures for memory

jelmore8312000 replied to Lady KatieBug's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Happened to me too, only once in the first week but I learned early on if my stomach don't like something I will know almost immediately that's why I pace my food or drink intake.and since my doctor told me I could only accommodate 4 oz in my stomach I don't put no more than that at any given time. I'm 4 weeks out and feel good. Good luck and feel better let your tummy speak to you -

Hi I was also sleeved on the 18 th don't worry things will get better if your eating you will get most of your proteins that way. I usually drink a muscle milk 100 calories first think in the morning and the rest of my proteins come from fish chicken and other food that you can tolerate. As far as BM I eat activia greek yogurt and it helps me go regular now because I had a problem too. And my weight loss started again. 27lbs lost good luck -
