    Tired

It's more to it than just surgery. Your body is burning more calories than you are able to take in. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  3. What really gets me is people asking the same things. Also 99% of everything I've read here asking about something was covered by my surgeon's office without me asking. Either some people are not listening or not be told. If they aren't being told, then maybe they need to ask more or find another surgeon for after care. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  4. Don't worry about. No big deal. [emoji3] Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    Low Energy

Good point. I have always taken Vitron-C since I got home from the hospital. Even with the iron, was exhausted for the first few months. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    Low Energy

Yes. This is normal. Your body is burning more calories than you are able to eat. If you are close to losing most of your excess weight, your energy should shoot through the roof for a few months. After than you'll come down some. Just hang in there. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

  8. Mention it to your surgeon next time you have an appointment. I have that happen if I eat something with too much sugar. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    Oatmeal?

Quaker Oats has a lower sugar instant oatmeal. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  11. I'm 3 years out and still get that way. It will get better but may not go away. I usually have it happen because I need to drink more water or I need to eat. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  12. I'm with the other poster, just follow your doctor's instructions and you'll be fine. 1 hour between liquids and solids is good. I was told 30 mins bit follow what your doctor told you. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    Tired !

Just rest as much as you can or feel you need to. I took off about 3 weeks from work but went in after a week. I didn't make it more than about 4 hours and had to go home from being so tired. After a few months my energy level was crazy. I wasn't able to sleep more than an hour or two a night. About a year out ur seemed to level out. Hang in there; you'll get through it. I screwed up

Don't do it again and follow your diet given to you by your nutritionist. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    I miss carbonated drinks

I have noticed that some drinks like sugar free Monster has less carbonation than regular diet soft drinks. I can drink those better with less or no problems. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    I miss carbonated drinks

2 years after gastric bypass and I can drink them (diet) in moderation. I guess it depends on the person. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    Gas pain?

It's normal. Make sure you're not eating too fast and not swallowing air. It'll take a while for it to start to not be as bad and for you to figure out what to avoid. I'm almost 3 years out and some foods still give me gas pains. Keep some Gas-X on hand (the generic is cheaper and works just as well).

    I'm so worried....

I was told to not weigh myself very often. I did though. Towards the ends of my weight loss, I'd go up and down a few pounds. The surgeon's office even explained you may vary up to 5lbs in a day. Don't worry about it. Exercise, eat right and follow your doctor's orders. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    Intense back pain

I had a really bad hiatal hernia that the surgeon needed to repair before my gastric bypass. When I spoke with the surgeon after I was awake, he explained what he had to do and that my back would hurt because he had to stitch the opening in my diaphragm. Not sure if this is what you may have done or not, but mine went away after about a week. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    Really Regretting it.

I had RNY 2 years and 1 week ago and 105lbs ago. I felt the same as everyone else is say...it sucked the first week or three. It was more frustrating than anything. If my wife hadn't had it done about 8 years before me, I would have been even more frustrated and probably depressed. The surgeon met with me as soon as I woke up from surgery; the first thing he warned me about was I would probably feel regret but to stick with it and it would get better. One thing I wasn't prepared for was I would throw up about 2 times a day for about 4 months but that's gotten better as well. Your health is the most important thing in your life. Hang in there, follow the diet plan you were given and it'll work out for the best for you. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  21. Anyone else in the area here? I had gastric bypass on August 18, 2014 at Winchester Medical Center.
  22. Your incisions look good to me. I actually had 2 come open because I was stupid and went to the gym with my wife; they were the only once that didn't have some puss. I showed the Dr in the follow up and he said just keep them clean and dry and to drain them as needed. After I did that and the knots from the stitches worked their way out, everything cleared up and healed well. That was well over a year ago. About 3 months ago, the lowest incision looked weird and it had some puss that I just squeezed out. I mentioned it to a coworker that has incisions for another surgery and he said his does the same thing. I think it was because the incision is right were some pants ride. Are my supplements okay?

We use Vitron-C for Iron and the chewable Building Blocks Multivitamin (contain B12). Wife uses Nature Made adult calcium gummies and I use Kirkland sugar-free calcium chews (chocolate or caramel). Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

    What is your full signal?

I think it has to do with your body thinking you have something stuck in your esophagus and producing mucus to help get it down. I found that if I start foaming/frothing, I just need to spit out all the extra salvia. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
