Hang in there Brandon, you're almost there. Just keep remembering how you feel now, and how you hope to feel after surgery. Good luck!
-
Best wishes and congratulations! You are going to do beautiful! I would suggest bringing a nice long charger cord for any electronics. Good luck!

You wouldn't be true to yourself if you weren't feeling this way. I'm nearly a week post op and I still feel this way. Every step of the journey is a learning process, and that's exciting and scary at the same time. Perfectly normal. What helps me is to always circle back to how I felt when I first initiated the process for wls. And most of all to think about where I would be right now if I hadn't pursued the surgery, and that word comes instantly: miserable. I have no regrets. And I think you won't either. One day at a time! Good luck!

Sorry didn't answer the second part. Some require you do them yourself at home after surgery, like Kate had. Others only require you have them given while in hospital, which was my experience. -

They're most commonly known as heparin or lovenox injections given in your stomach. They're blood thinners. -

Tomorrow is my Surgery!
The Candidate replied to Zweiz's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Congrats on your surgery day! Nerves are normal, but you're going to be more than fine. Concentrate on why you're doing this, and what you hope to achieve. You are so much stronger than you realize. Good luck! -
Oh congrats, I'm so happy for you! You'll do okay with breaking the news to your dad. Eventually, if not now, he'll come to understand that this is your life, and you're just doing your best to get healthy. You're going to have a beautiful life!

Anyone else having a hard time getting pain meds?
The Candidate replied to Gumpgal's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I'm finding that too. Used the liquid pain med a couple of times. Finding I don't really need it and I seem to sleep better without it. Now in the hospital I was definitely using the pain pump! ???? -
Glad to hear things are going well. Congrats!

I feel for you, Kate. I only had the injections once a day at the hospital, done by the nurses, and I'm still bruised solidly. Can't imagine having to do them myself at home. So glad yours have almost come to an end! Funny you mention your dog. I have two cockapoos. My brother and his girlfriend have been taking care of them since a couple of days before surgery, so I haven't seen them in over a week. They're bringing them back to me today because I can't stand another day without them. I love and miss my babies! ☺️ -

Hi @! Doing very well thank you! Getting down all fluids, Protein drinks, even Vitamins without a hitch. All in all everything has gone so much better than I ever expected. How are you doing? How far out are you now? Feeling pretty much back to normal? I would love to hear what it feels like from your progression point. Thanks for all your hugs and well wishes along the way, Kate. You're always a bright spot in my day! ???? -

Pressure, Stress, Am I doing the right thing? My Spouse...
The Candidate replied to magicalwoman's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You made this decision to save your life. Don't let anyone else's opinion deter you from your original course. Think of it this way, where will you be if you listen to outsiders, one month, one year from now? Right where you are now that's where, hating your life, your body, and forget any prospects of a healthy future. The only thing you will accomplish by backtracking is silencing the naysayers. That's a high price to pay in my opinion, but ultimately it's up to you, and only you. Weigh the pros and cons, go in fully prepared and 100% sure, and on your terms and no others. Best of luck! -
