    What do you drink?

I pretty much stick to water, crystal lite, and Fairlite milk.

    Frustrated!

That's more than I've lost in two months. You can't compare as everyone is different. You will lose in your own time, at your own rate. ????

    Well so here I am.

Those little doubts are normal, but I'm sure you'll find it was all worth it in the end. As for those stares as you were walking in, don't give them another thought. This is your time to shine! Best of luck!

    Learn from my mistake

Yes, those first weeks are temperamental, and your stomach is definitely not shy about voicing it's opinion. But you can't really blame it considering all its just been through. ???? Hope you feel better soon!

    Mind running wild

Trying to fit your life around pre op requirements and doctor/surgeon schedules, is tough. But before you know it your day will be here and it'll have all been worth it. Good luck!

    Hello, I am new

Welcome, Michelle, glad you found your way here. I'm about nine weeks out from my surgery, and I was a die hard soda addict since childhood. It's tough, but you definitely can do it. What you give up in no way compares to what you get in return. Start now trying to wean yourself off and by the time your surgery rolls around you can be off them completely. There is life after soda, I promise! ????

    Taking time off work

I took a full six weeks, to heal and adjust. Luckily I had very little pain and no complications. If pushed I probably could have gone back after a week, based solely on how I felt. But the exhaustion really kicked my butt, so I was very glad I had the extra time.

    New and Alone.

Wow, I'm so sorry for all of your terrible complications. I have nothing to compare with as I didn't have any myself. But I do know for all of the many experiences I've read over the years, that most who are able to get past the tough times, still end up with no regrets in the end. I sure hope that is your outcome as well. It's tough going through this alone. Have you searched for any support groups in your area? I truly hope things improve for you soon. My heart goes out to you!

    Preop

Hello and welcome. Hope your clearance comes soon. Best of luck!
  21. Pack lightly. One electronic device and charger cord, a comfy pillow, robe, are what first come to mind for me. Besides sleeping, the walking and sipping will occupy a lot of your time. Best of luck and congrats!

Some times I feel like a failure

You're not a failure. I hope to get where you are now, eventually, but if I don't, I definitely feel better right now than I have in years. Don't you? You need to throw away your scale if it affects you like this. Go by how you feel, and how far you've come. ????
