Upset. ...what should I do!
The Candidate replied to HappyNean32's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would call. Even if they were sent, it wouldn't hurt to resend them. Don't go into the weekend wondering. Good luck! -
I'm taking a class in Kundalini Yoga. It's described as incorporating movement and meditation to help increase flexibility, build strength and balance hormones. I'm 54 and it's the first exercise class I've ever taken in my entire life. It's relaxing and challenging and I love it!

No, this is your DAY! In caps, because it should be a celebration of all you've gone through to get here. I remember my DAY. I woke up smiling and I don't think I've stopped smiling since. You've got a brand new wonderful future awaiting you. Go get it! ????

That's definitely weight loss surgery on the fast track. One thing you definitely don't have to worry about is a support system, as you have that in spades. I'm happy for you and best of wishes for your sleeved future! -
If it were me, I'd just suck it up and pay. I would have done almost anything to get to surgery at the time I was going through it. You've passed the requirement and that's the important thing. Good luck!

What did you pack in your bag to bring with you?
The Candidate replied to ready2droppounds's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I went overboard. ????. Honestly you spend most of your time walking, sipping, sleeping, and being poked and prodded. Mainstays are a comfy pillow, your phone with an extra long charger cord (mine didn't reach), a robe, toiletries, stretchy clothes to wear home, and that should do you. Congrats! -
Congrats! That is definitely an awe inspiring moment!

Emotional and feeling guilt

Feel grateful that there was a procedure available that will not only cure the liver issue, but also help ensure that all the other obesity related diseases, such as diabetes have now been averted. Feel joyful that you've now been allotted extra years with your children and grandchildren that you might never have gotten before. Feel blessed that you have a supportive husband, family, and medical care, who are all helping you through the procedure. Feel love towards yourself, because you deserve this just as much as anyone else, no matter how it came about. Feel hopeful and excited in anticipation of the healthy body and life you have awaiting you in the near future. Sometimes it's okay to put yourself first, because in the end, a better you, a healthier happier you, benefits all those around you at the same time. You are going to love the new you! ???? -
