Thank you. I can do a lot more now. Walk without fighting for breathe, easily shave legs, fit butt into all different kind of seats. Etc. I still have a lot of social anxiety and depression after loosing my son 5 years ago but the surgery is the best thing I have done in along time. We can all do it. -

September 2, 2014 think doing good but have question?
screwthescale posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I had my sleeve on September 2, 2014. I weighed 370 pre surgery, then day of surgery was 351. As of today I am 273, almost 100 pounds. Glad for it but want to loose 100 more. I have been told It slows down but if anyone has a clue about about timing and tips around losing the additional 100 pounds. Also does anyone focus more on how much more to loose than what you have lost this far? Thank you -
High BMI sleevers weight loss amounts.

I started out with high bmi, was 370 preop, lost 19 pounds to 351' then had surgery September 2, 2014. My current weight is 281. I did have a1 week stall but since have still been loosing. My doctor said to be prepared for stalls. Mi think that is pretty good for about 3 months. Good luck to all. -
Where are you losing?
screwthescale replied to JCP's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 43 and started at 370'total down 53 pounds between weeks 4 and 5 I haven't lost just stayed the same (weigh in is Wednesday). I have started to notice in most areas down from size 30 to 26, went bra fitting and down 2 sizes around but same cup size. People are happy for me but I just keep thinking I have so much more to loose. Does anyone else feel this way? The 6 month and 1 year out stories are so impressive. I just keep staying with the program and hope this stall will end soon. Good luck to everyone. -
3 month follow up WIN

I am so sorry for your loss. I too lost my son at age 19. It is five years later, I am still in therapy on meds and. Trying to find myself. However, I gained 170 pounds since Zac's passing and knew I had to do something or I would die too and leave my 16 year old daughter alone. So on September 2nd I got the gastric sleeve. PRe surgery I was 370, day of surgery I was 351' now 4 weeks later am 316. Thus I have lost 54 pounds and much more to go. I am learning that if we are to go on we first need to learn who we are and congratulations to you for doing this and loosing. Sending prayers and hugs! -

Thanks for the update from September. May I ask how much you have lost thus far? I lost 19 pounds in the 12 day liquid pre-op and total since surgery on September 2 have lost another 29 pound for a total of 48 pounds. I can't do the protein drinks so now on mushy food until 8 weeks out so. I am only getting around 320 calories but now up to about 39g protein. I think loss is good but worries about the protein and calorie intake.
