I am almost 7 weeks post op and I am having major issues with Protein shakes. I have tried whey concentrates, whey isolates, rice protein (yuck) and pea protein (double yuck) and they all make me very bloated and crampy and I end up being in pain for 5 – 6 hours after drinking them.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get my protein in? If I drink the shakes, I am in constant pain, if I don’t, I feel weak and lethargic from lack of protein.
