In sitting Pre-op hell....
shellyd88 replied to Seashelles's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@Seashelles hi I'm still pre op so I haven't been on the liquid diet yet but understand how u feel I was put on south beach to lose weight before surgery and I can assume I'll have to do a liquid thing as well at some point before my surgery I wanted what I was used to cookies ice cream pasta etc it bothered me a lot and I'm in no way saying I didn't have anything a couple times what helped me is I got all the crap out of the house anything I wasn't supposed to have went away it doesn't keep u from wanting it but if it's not there u can't eat it I plan all the meals ahead buy only needed items and quantities so there are no leftovers like everybody said we all screwed up its normal to want to eat also when your body is so used to huge amounts of sugar and carbs it craves it this is so much harder in my opinion then quitting smoking I was able to do that twice cold turkey and didn't have as much trouble as doing this I have to keep my mind on what I really want which is to be sleeved if I don't do what I need to to get there it will just delay it even more try not to beat yourself up it won't help get back on track asap best wishes -

Actigall is it really necessary
shellyd88 replied to Janice1968's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Geez this is so aggravating to see I was thinking of asking my surgeon to just remove my gallbladder too When I get sleeved I don't see any reason to have to have yet another surgery and more pain time off work etc I was told by an attorney that drs are by law not allowed to remove organs that are not diseased or damaged I don't know how true this is but perhaps this is why insurance company's won't pay for it and why drs aren't doing it -

Tryingthis hi this is just a thought and if u haven't already maybe if u told her that this a tool that u feel u need to help you be able be physically able to eat less that WW and the like can't offer? will she consider attending an informational meeting with whatever program your considering for your procedure? To help her understand what really happens and how it changes ppls lives? have u tried printing out any info or articles for her to read ? Are u involved in any support groups for this usually the surgeons or clinics/hospitals that do these procedures have support groups ask her to attend a few with u but u go first get to know ppl and there story's and outcomes then bring her in let her see how much better/healthier life can be for you I'm so sorry they are holding back the financial support u need u may be able to change their minds over time maybe u won't be able to don't let it deter u if y really want this perhaps u could consider going to Mexico as others here have done it's also self pay but much less expensive around $ 5/6,000 plus travel I guess that would depend on where u are and how u get there best of luck!

Unbelievably stressed OUT, how to focus?
shellyd88 replied to Brn2blossom's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Brn2blossom I'm betting there are few of of us that haven't been where u are or won't be again I know the feeling about the stressful job try to leave it behind when u go home it's vital for you to not carry it with u when not on the clock in order to do what u need to do to get ready for this u must put some focus on yourself u can't avoid it the money probs will likely not disappear this I know lol fighting with husband may well be a side effect of having a new baby which in itself is major stress although a happy one it's normal most couples fight when a baby comes in the mix between working keeping house a newborn schedule prepping for these procedures the diet not getting enough sleep etc please try and remember u are doing this for yourself and it really is ok to put u first especially in order to get healthier if u let stress sabotage your efforts it will just delay getting where u want to go and that will just bring more stress hint... A dart board with bosses face works wonders not that I do do that or anything..... Yeah coughs lol -
Good luck to all having procedures today best wishes for a speedy recovery

Oh no yellow wallpaper u didn't give me any anxiety trust me I had it already lol thanks so much for answering my questions I really appreciate it I hate the sleep study stuff it's not like u can sleep with all that junk glued on u I couldn't even move let alone sleep in a strange place it's all overwhelming so much to do and they keep adding more it's frustrating -
I always hated being so tall but one good thing about is at 6'2 no one says a word to me about what I purchase or have in my cart or dares to comment on it good thing unless they want to take a ride in one of those lil mini carts Then after we can .... Discuss my purchases if they still desire.... Freaking jackholes
