Excedrine is notorious for causing ulcers as well as other pain relievers they can also be caused by a bacteria called h pylori most ppl I've talked to that have had this endoscopy have been told they have ulcers some worse than others it seems pretty common u will be given meds to heal it up it likely won't delay your surgery at all if so not by too much try not to worry

I have a question I recieved a letter today from my hospital Re my sleeve surgery scheduling pre op appts and such one states a teaching appt does anyone know what this means what are they going to teach us? Just wondering... Thanks

@@nprcowboy I'm so sorry your going thru this again is there any possibility u went a bit too fast drinking and that's causing the nausea or too big of sips maybe I've seen ppl say here that water is awful and feels so heavy that they dilute it with juices I hope u turn around soon and start to feel better will keep u in thoughts and prayers

No one else is having to live in your body with whatever effects it's having on your life therefore the most important opinion is your own u carry it a around u deal with the pain or limitations no one else ppl who don't have these issues can't really understand if it were as simple as just eat less etc etc no one would be overweight in the first place so don't listen to all the negative remarks when ppl do that change subject Or shut it down make it clear that it's not up for argument

Jenngf5 hi and thanks so much for the info I sure appreciate it I hope the insurance issue is settled too I can't take anymore stress lol it's been months of jumping thru hoops and testing I just want it done already so I can move ahead it sounds like your doing very well it's great to hear I was worried about taking meds after so many ppl say they had trouble swallowing after dr says shouldn't be a problem tho I'm a little nervous I don't like staying in hospitals lol but no choice I guess we're u by yourself in a room or sharing? I sure hope your feeling better yes I talked to Leslie turns out my boss changed insurance for the 2nd time in 2 monthsI found out when none of my cards worked and I couldn't get a RX what a circus so when I found this out I called there to be sure they have the right info she said she was going to be working on my file this week and that she was glad I told her about the insurance before she did my paperwork and that my pre op will be the week before surgery that's all I was told is that how it went for u? How much notice do they give you to come do the pre op stuff?

Yes absolutely they do I think people feel that food isn't really an addiction and there's always the why don't u just stop comments but once upon a time drugs and alcohol were viewed the same way that ppl could just stop if only they tried or tried harder etc etc if only it were that simple we would have no use for rehab clinics 12 step programs weight loss programs diet pills etc etc I don't think anyone can understand unless they live it's much the same with those of us that don't have drug or alcohol issues if u don't struggle with it it's hard to understand what it feels like plus it's so acceptable to shame ppl who are overwieght it's a thing that shows on the outside so the judgemental ppl can point and talk about others

Jenngf5 lol at what holiday was dec 22 when I saw him so I assumed after New Years as they were going to be shut down for a week I was told his secretary was out sick and would contact me after holidays I was given a surgery date by the young girl Michele I don't want to be a pest just want to be sure everything is still on track lol anyways thanks for responding I'm sure u feel better just being home Get some rest Hope u have continued good recovery experience and feel better every day Can't wait for my turn!!!

They will put u out u won't know a thing they gave me drugs felt like I was drunk as hell lol then they said turn on your side I was like u couldn't have asked me to do that before u loaded me up? Lol was the last thing I recall till waking up approx 40 mins later had a sore throat for a few days that's all u won't feel it or know they are doing it

Jenngf5 hey glad u made it thru! Sorry your uncomfortable hopefully it will improve when I met with my surgeon I was warned about the gas pain I'm with dr posner at bflo gen surgery February 24 I was told I'd hear from his office after holidays re last pre op visit and pre op testing but haven't heard anything yet how close to your surgery did u do the last visit and pre op testing ? I'm getting anxious that I haven't heard anything hope u have a great recovery

@@nprcowboy I agree with everybody some ppl have too much time on their hands and no common sense ignore the assclowns of the world of course you weren't up to posting I'm glad to hear your getting better will keep you and your wife in my thoughts and prayers

GADeltadawn hi they have to give you the info u are correct its your policy etc what u need to do is call them again don't ask a bunch of questions ask for a copy of the guidelines and requirements for this procedure u are entitled by law to a written copy if u ask they may try to just tell u to look online on their website however I found it difficult to find so I was told by my boss who is an attorney to ask or it to be mailed to me I got one in three days by mail if they get pushy tell em your computer crashed u have no internet etc u get the idea good luck

@@JerseyJules I know we all relate in some way in a few weeks I'll be going in for my sleeve feeling the same things wishing you well and a great recovery

So far I like him he is strict and to the point but hasn't come across as condescending or nasty as some drs Ive been around have been I hope to have a good experience as well

Hi yes I assume he will be doing it I met with him just before holidays I was told feb 24 was first avail date he said his secretary was out sick so I spoke with a Michele down the hall at the surgeons clinical office and was told after holidays I'd get more info from the regular secretary about pre op testing and final instructions etc but so far haven't heard anything more yet but I was given a card for feb 24 to be at hospital at 530 am to prep with surgery aprox 3 hours after is what I was told

@ hey there I'm in south buffalo also with dr posner end of February surgery if all goes well I'm doing Cpap now is my last requirement scared as hell but can't wait to be done with the surgery part feels like forever doing all these tests etc

@@Jenngf5 deep down u must believe it will be worth it u started the process u followed through and soon u be on the other side starting the next step in the journey keep your confidence u made a decision for a reason if the reason is still important to u then it's worth it best of luck!

@@Moneen I think what your feeling is normal it's a major surgery and life change with lots of rules and different from how we have all been going about things it would be strange if we weren't nervous or have some anxiety get all your needed supplies ready meds protein powders etc house in order clean linens etc so u can be as comfortable as possible while u recover Best wishes
