I lost 30 pounds in total after my pre and 4 weeks after surgery. It has now been 6 weeks and I haven't lost a pound. I'm starving all of the time. Still getting shoulder pain on occasion. What gives?? Any ideas?? Thanks

Hi all, hate to be asking so many questions but I don't get full. No matter what I eat or drink, I can keep going. I haven't of course but last night I just couldn't be satisfied. I'm starting to miss eating pretzels and Snacks. I only lost 9 lbs since surgery. I thought it would come off quicker. Also, what is the green zone? Thanks for helping this newbie out!

Since it's been 3 weeks since banding I can have soft foods. 1/2 banana with 1 Tbl. peanut butter was heaven sent. I felt like I was eating a treat rather than a meal. The idea came on my diet sheet the dr. gave me. Try it!! Good luck.

Hi Everybody, I'm 9 days post op. Still have tremendous shoulder pain. Is it really gas that will go away? I feel like I suffer every day, every meal and almost every sip. I don't see my doctor until next tuesday. I already called and they said it was gas. I can't really walk too much as I have a bad back and extreme sciatica. I move as much as I can, but if this pain keeps up, I don't know what I'll do. I will say that after 3 1/2 weeks of liquid, I lost 21 lbs. !!!!!

A friend of mine had the sleeve done about a year and a half ago. Just had to have her gall bladder out. Don't know what causes this, but it's not only lap band.

Hi all, my name is Darlyn and I am 59 years old. I've been battling my weight since 3rd grade. By 8th grade I weighed 175 lbs @ 5'4". Got thin once in my late teens but only for a year or two. Weight Watchers was always my go to because it allowed dessert, cocktails, etc., but I gave up dieting years ago after I had back surgery. I was in an accident at work (I drove a school bus) and I now have constant pain and sciatica. I am also diabetic and was very depressed.. Last Christmas I had to park quite far from the stores and found I needed to borrow a wheelchair to get back to my car after 2 hours of shopping. I then decided that I needed to get my act together before I got too old. So here I am. I was banded on 8/25/14 and also had a hiatal hernia fixed. I'm on the right road to a new life. My current weight is 229 at 5' 7". My goal is 160 lbs. and to get off my diabetic meds. Please wish me luck!

Still have the shoulder pain. Think I enjoyed my pureed cream of mushroom soup too much last night. I have to learn to STOP. I guess that comes with time. Otherwise, I'm down 18 lbs!!! YAY

Banded for 5 days. I am loving all the advise and input on this site. Now I'm wondering how to get a body weight ticker. I see them on almost every post. Thanks

Thanks to all for responding. Is anyone having that nasty shoulder pain?? Am I sipping too fast?, too much? Thought I was going to die earlier today. Took a gas x and felt better.
