How about some NSVs!?!?
Bryan Graeve replied to shyanne's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm only four weeks post-op and down 40 lbs starting from 338. I air travel for work every week, so my favorite NSV has been the ability to sit in the middle seat of a plane without a belt extender or angry looks from my neighbors -
Had Gastric Bypass Surgery on 9/11/14
Bryan Graeve replied to Calvin "Casey"'s topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I'm four weeks post-op with RNY, and technically on the soft foods phase. I went to Chipotle for a burrito bowl. The rice was difficult to eat and I regret having it. It was on the "foods to avoid" list from my nut, so my bad. I'm going to wait for another month before attempting Chipotle again. -

Going back to work AND starting pureed foods - tips?

Stay away from Indian food. Some of it's soft, but the spices will get to ya -

Any troubles flying?
Bryan Graeve replied to I'm Ready's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I started flying 3 weeks post-op (RNY) had no complications. The only concern I'd have would be if I developed complications (e.g. a blood clot), I'd be too far away for my bariatric surgeon and would have to deal with that. Also, it's difficult to find something to eat at restaurants... "Could I get that chicken sandwich blended?" -

You look great -
Congrats, nice work! I'm about 3.5 weeks out and have lost around 40 lbs myself. Most of the weight came off at the beginning during the Protein shake diet, it's been slow losing the last week. I attribute it to the dreaded three week stall I've read about in other posts.

Try walking around when you get that way, it'll help release the gas pressure

What foods made you dump?
Bryan Graeve replied to Lthomas's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I dumped on kettle cooked potato chips. It was a lesson for me to stick with the plan -
Only lost 10lbs - WTF
Bryan Graeve replied to Roostertail2's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's called the "dreaded three week stall". Most people go through it. Hang in there, the weight will come off soon! -

I don't disagree with you VSGAnn! Just bewildered of the sudden change in pace of my weight loss after week 2. I can not complain. -
Hit a stall 3 wks out. GRRRRR!
Bryan Graeve replied to mi75's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I'm glad to see this post. I'm in the middle of my three week stall myself. I lost 40 pounds the first two weeks post-op then it's stayed there for the past few days. -

What protein supplements are you taking?
Bryan Graeve replied to akira808se's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
I'm using the EAS Whey Protein, costs $7 a pound from Sams Club. Tastes great and has 30g protein. -
I am taking two Flintstone Vitamins daily. Haven't had any problems. Hope you find something better for you.
