I'm 17 days out and feel great. I took off 2weeks but could have gone back sooner but had a fever and they kept me in hospital for 6 days. I also had a drain and didn't want to go to work w drain. As for your trip, I don't see why you couldn't go. I feel great right now and down 22lbs so far.

Update: 15 days out. Doing great. On proteins and down 22 lbs.

Revision Surgery on Tuesday 8/11
adnlyn replied to samskiles's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Started phase 3 on Friday...Proteins- had grilled chicken and black beans for dinner. No issues, except it's hard to judge how little I can actually eat. Had a half of thigh and 2 spoons of black beans and was stuffed! I'm finding that I need to eat 4 or 5 small meals a day. -
Revision Surgery on Tuesday 8/11

I had revision on 8-10 as well. I can't look at liquids anymore! Loosing my mind. I tried some plain Sabra Hummus which was great and worked out fine. I also tried some peanut butter. That was a little too thick but I was able to eat it. I see surgeon and nutritionist on Friday to hopefully move to proteins, which I think I can handle now. -
Update: still sitting in hospital. Have had a low grade fever and they will not let me leave till I am fever free for 24 hours.

Revision Surgery on Tuesday 8/11

I had my surgery on 8/10. Still in hospital due to low grade fever. They did a catscan and no leaks, no nausea. It took a few days to move to protien shakes, had half of one last night and it went right through me but no throwing up. Gas pains were bad in the beginning but walked a ton and finally took care of that. It's real frustrating sitting here w a fever they don't know where it's coming from and won't let me leave till its under control. -

Hanging in there. Yesterday was tuff. I feel much better today. I couldn't swallow any Fluid yesterday as I was too swollen. Today I had Jello, Soup and Water. I have been getting bad hiccups which are painful and some cramps but it's all normal. Once I pass gas, I can go home.

I'm going in on the 10th. Looking forward to the change. My band has not been emptied yet either and I plan on keeping it full till surgery unless told to empty it.

To my knowledge it depends on your insurance.
