    HELP - everything taste bad

I am on full liquids now and just do the best I can on the protein. Today I put my tortilla soup chicken, cheese and The hubby's left over guacamole in the food processor and it is smooth and creamy and ate that lol!!!

    Protein Shakes!

My surgeon recommended whey or soy protein and use slim or 1% milk. I like skinny protein. Honestly I have had trouble drinking it I am just so sick of it, but I am on full liquids now so everything is going in the food processors even chicken in my tortilla soup lol!

And stock up on your gas x I like the peppermint thin strips. I am 9 days post of down 10lbs a total of 25!!! And doing great. Walk afterwards, left side is going to sting but it gets less and less daily. I love the way he glues the incisions you don't have to worry about them. Just shower, walk and sip sip sip!!!

Do you think it would be okay for me to suck on a sugar free peppermint? I am going back to work at the end of this week and my breath is gross even after brushing right now.

    Food melt down

I am 6 days post op and doing well. I am kind of hungry basically just getting in my protein and fluids. On Tuesday I can start full liquids any suggestions? My husband made some taco soup last night so I was thinking I could run some through the food processors and thin it out with chicken broth and strain it. Any other ideas?
  10. Agree do this for you!!! When I was being taken for surgery literally being pushed on my gurney the nurse said this is for you girl, you'll be great. So there are lots of positives but the negative will hit ya the hardest and you don't need that! Good luck and prayers!!!
  11. What kind of protein are you liking the best post op? I am having trouble with the taste of anything except vitamin water zero...

  13. I told just a few close to me, my mom, husband, 4 friends my family is 100% supportive out of my friends 2 were positive and supportive and 2 were scared/negative but claimed to support me. But did not want me to do it. Both skinny all their lives have never dealt with being overweight more than 15lbs at the most!

2 week pre op diet starts today

It's weird how different the surgeons diets are mine was bars or shakes. I lost 15lbs on my diet and the surgeon said my liver was a little large still but that will continue to improve u mean he could tell by my weight loss I stuck to it. So I don't think there are any guarantees. I'll pray for you! It's just 2 weeks you can do this!!!

Just stick to it from here on out!!! I had surgery this past Tuesday and I am amazed at how well I am feeling. Get gas x cause you may need it. That is where I had he worst pain. I have not been nauseous or thrown up at all. Of course I am sore and left side of my tummy is more sore but I expected and prepared to feel worse. My surgeon was Dr Nick. He is so nice and encouraging. Good luck!!!
