You're doing exactly what you should by sticking to liquids. It sounds like you need an unfill. Hopefully your tummy is just swollen from the PB's and needs a break. Good luck to you tomorrow! I'm sure he will do a barium swallow to see what's up. Keep us posted! ((((HUGS))))

I like Spicy Black Bean veggieburgers with mustard. They can be nuked in 45 seconds and they're quite high in protein. Yum!

Happy Bandiversary Jess!! You've done an amazing job. Congrats on quitting smoking too - that's well worth maintaining your weight for a month. You must feel like a million bucks!
-
Congratulations!! Is this your first band baby? I agree - Natalie is a beautiful name.
-
You poor thing! I've PB'd 3 or 4 times, but its never been as intense as what you describe. Feel better soon. Hugs for you and DH - it sounds like it was almost as bad for him, lol.

Interesting... I didn't know that you could get stretch marks losing weight. I'm not sure where you're at in your weight loss tvgrrl, but if you have more weight to lose don't let the appearance of stretch marks take you off course. I just bought a tube of Mederma for scars and stretch marks so it's too soon for me to give an opinion on it's effectiveness. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Hi Melva, I've been banded a little over 7 months. I've had some minor problems with getting the right fill level, but I'm so happy with my band. I would absolutely do it again in a heartbeat.

Hi Rosa! Welcome to LBT. I found the first 6 weeks after surgery (before my first fill) were definitely challenging, but once I jumped that hurtle it's been great. Good luck with your surgery!

Poll for Women Only *ADULT*

No worries Ajack, Di Di was joking (at least I'm assuming so from the smilie face sticking out the tongue and winking). -
Michelle, I'm 45 minutes West of Detroit (in Pinckney). I'm not Polish, but I'm not ashamed to say I'll take advantage of any tradition that involves a big jelly donut. I guess we could have steamed broccoli on St Patty's day...

Stop by your pharmacist and ask his/her advice. Some medications aren't supposed to be crushed. They may also offer what you're taking in liquid form.

Wow, I can't believe you guys have never heard of Paczki's!! I saw signs to pre-order them for mardi gras at 5 different places this past week. I didn't realize it was a regional thing (I'm about 45 minutes from Hamtramck Michelle! ). Yummy indeed, though I did resist this year. Okay, okay - I forgot to get them yesterday! I guess I have to wait until next year.

Great job Heather!!

I just had the ekg. If you're concerned, talk to you doc about it. He should be able to explain why he didn't order further testing.

what was your weight-gain pattern?
Anwyn replied to vinesqueen's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I was about 175 in high school, then jumped up to 225 by the end of college. I dieted down to 190 for my wedding and then gained 70 lbs in the 6 months immediately following. Then I yo-yo'd for 8 years and topped out at 305 when pregnant with both kids. For the last few years I've been bouncing between 260 and 285. Until I wrote that I had no idea that I gained 50 lbs in college. Yikes, that's 50 lbs of pizza weight. -
What a cool experiment! Tell her we're all pulling for her next Thursday!

Your most embarrassing fat moment (sad, funny, pathetic, turning points)
Anwyn replied to chameleon's topic in The Lounge
When I was in highschool I weighed about 180 (which FELT huge then - what was I thinking?). I was out on a Saturday night with a heavy friend of mine. We were depressed because we didn't have boyfriends, so we decided to order big dinners and drown in our sorrows. About 2 seconds after we placed our orders in walked two big groups of teenage boys, who were seated all around us. We're sitting there, and here comes the waitress with plate after plate of food for us. Seriously, I think we each had 5 plates, lol. They were all snickering and pointing at us. We ate a little and left. I'm happy to say that we crack up at this story today, but at the time it was mortifying. -
Ace is gorgeous. I have a thing for guys with long hair. I'm 32... Is it okay if I lust after him? If Demi Moore can marry that guy, I can safely lust after a 17 year old, right? I can't picture Chris - I'll look for him tonight. I thought Mandisa was amazing - I don't know why the judges gave her such a hard time! My guess is that Brenda and Kinnik will go this week. This show is so addictive.

No biggie - I don't usually search either, I just remembered reading about it somewhere. I hope you can find some good info - RLS is no fun.

Hi everyone, Donna, I'm sorry that you're not feeling well! It's no fun going back to liquids and mushies, but you'll be glad you gave your tummy a break. Maybe your restriction level means you'll be one of the lucky few who never need a fill. Eilene, so glad to hear that your MIL is doing well! Your family has had a rough couple of weeks. (((HUGS))) Betty, you poor thing - how are your ears feeling? Earaches are the worst. I hope your $185 medicine does the trick. Cindy, it sounds like you had a fun weekend! I'd love to take a gun class. I've never been around guns and DH isn't a hunter. I agree that it's good to know how to handle one. Patty, glad to hear that you had some alone time this weekend! It sounds like you made the most of it and found some great bargains. Kelly, I'm sending positive thoughts that your DH will get hired in at Wallymart soon. Hopefully it won't take long to get in since he's willing to work midnights. Pat, have you recovered from your time with the grandkids? So, your DIL is a size 2 and now has DD boobs... I'm officially jealous. I've talked about getting a boob job when I get my tummy tuck (in future dreamland) but I have a twin sister so it would probably be a little obvious, eh? LOL I had some great news - the gynecologist told me that I would definitely need to have the LEEP procedure (where they remove the tip of the cervix) but the biopsy came back and now she's saying it probably won't be necessary. WOO HOO!! They're going to take another look in 6 months and decide then. Time to get to bed. Goodnight everyone!

Welcome to LBT Kristin! Good luck with your surgery.

Woo hoo! I haven't felt so happy and positive after reading LBT in a long time. Thanks for staying.

I had to lose 5 lbs and keep it off before my surgery. I was told that if I was up even 1 lb I'd be taken off the surgery schedule. So, no last supper for me. Then they didn't even weigh me before surgery, lol! I can laugh now, but boy I wanted a last supper then.
-
Hi everyone! Eileen, I'm so sorry to hear about your Uncle. Hugs and prayers for you and your family. Dianne's recovering from surgery!! That was so nice of Kim to let us know. Kelly girl, welcome to the NJ chat from one Michigander to another! I butted in a few months ago because it's the best thread on this board! Cindy, I'd love to see a pic of the new hair! I've had long blonde hair for years. I went brunette a few months ago. Now I'm thinking about going short and blonde because I'm losing my hair (sob!). I started Biotin supplements yesterday. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. DH used two bottles of Drano on the shower yesterday, LOL! Betty, I hope your butt has recovered from your long day of typing. Sherry, how did it go back at work? I hope it wasn't too tiring for you. Irene, I'm sorry that you haven't lost any weight since your surgery. It's hard when you can't exercise. When is your doctor giving you your first fill? Well, I meant to just say a quick hello. I have to put the chickadees to bed - DH is back in CA for the week so I get some nice alone time once they're asleep. Hugs to everyone that I missed. Have a great night!
