Thanks hun, it's just she's not accepting much lately...I want to take her to counseling..maybe its me and they way I explain things... This is 2nd time for me..the first time, i didn't go through with it...cold feet...I am going through with it this time... on my way home....im at work..slacking..LOL

Just got the call, 10/7/08 for me. My daughter is devestated because it's a day after her birthday. I told her we can Celebrate it early, and she said its not the same . She'll be 13. Maybe that explains ita all. 9/22 I go to the pre-op class...and 9/23 start the liquid diet. Nice to see theres a few of us here...

Hey all, I'm sooooooooooooooooooo thrilled!! Last year 10/07, I started the whole process of getting the approvals from the doctors (cardio, lung, psych)..2/12/07 I was scheduled for surgery...and RIGHT before the day, I cancelled...unbelievable! Recently, I started rethinking everything...and decided to start once again. Luckily, I didn't need to be re-evaluated. Today, I got the call from the cordinator. I go to pre-op class on 9/22 and Surgery is scheduled for 10/07/08!! whooooooo whooooooo!! wish me luck and any positive feedback is morrrrrree than welcome!! Peace out-

The psych eval was pretty easy, they ask questions like how long you've been fat, has it prevented you from advancing in your jobs, things like that. Congrats on the marriage! Good luck 2u........:biggrin:

Nothing like having cuties for doctors (lol)... I bet you'll have it the same day as me! I have to go the 26th to sign the consent form.. Have a great day!

I would suggest a support buddy hon, or go to the support groups...take care...don't go back!!! look at those numbers!!

ok so here we go: pre-op class 9/22/08 430-730, surgery 10/07/08 FINALLY SCHEDULED!! whoo whooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!

ok, I have 5 more days and I get my mini-consult..and If...IF..big if..i dont have to get the dr's ok's again then i go to my pre-op class 9/2. I NEED PRAYER'S Y'ALL....HEAVY DUTY ONES...please oh please..and I need to make sure I get approval from BCBS....im scareddddd

yeah hun, my feet are all nice and toasty now. I'm worried Dr. J will make me go see the dr's again..or wose, I won't get the go-ahead for the surgery.

I have been reading several posts about ppl going to Mexico to get banded. What is there that makes the procedure worth going? Thanks,

hey Cyndy, From what it sounds like, it doesn't sound too bad. you lose about 20 before surgery if you follow it. I'm going to meet with him next wednesday for a mini consult. I was suppoed to do it in Jan but got cold feet. I have HMO. If all goes well, I'll do it in September

Crystal Light comes in a box and you get packets, 1 per 20 oz bottle..Energy drinks come in cans but not that you can get money for.

Great to hear! I have something to look forward to :biggrin:...I don't think I will regret it this time..(unlike the first time which I put off).

I haven't been banded yet either, but I started on Crystal Light, and it's AWESOME!! I used to have a coke a day..which even for me every now and then again I like to have. But there are so many varieties in the Crystal Light, I feel like I am drinking healthier anyway.
