What the H*LL happened to you?!
Blue Sky replied to RJ'S/beginning's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
She sounds like she is jealous. You were right to move on from her. Keep moving. -
Surgery in 4 hours!
Blue Sky replied to Slimsoon1988's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Standing with you in prayerand cheering you on! -
Hi CG, I understand where you are because I, like you, had no issues other than my weight. I prayed about it until I got peace with moving ahead with the knowledge I had on this procedure. At 16 days out it has all worked out for me in what was essentially a faith move!

No goal weight, bad idea?
Blue Sky replied to ParamoreloverxD's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi there. I think you have wonderful goals and that you will obtain them. I believe the real question is what is the best way for you to achieve them. Your family knows you more than anyone on this forum so I would vest more into their observations assuming they are coming from a good place. Your mother especially would know because she also has firsthand knowledge and experience with this procedure. I would listen to her with an open mind because she would have your best interests at heart and her insight should help guide you into making the right choice for you! Wish u peace in your decision! -
Thanks for sharing your story and for not giving up! You are an inspiration and should pat yourself on the back for taking decisive action to recover your life! Glad you are beginning to experience the quality of life you desire and seeing the fruit of your labor! Be encouraged !

Considering weight loss surgery, need feedback from those who've had it.
Blue Sky replied to zackly's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I am only two weeks out, but I would say that if eating food is a priority, this surgery may not be for you. Weigh all costs and consider all avenues because you cannot get your stomach back. This is a lifetime decision. -
HELP! PROTRIN SHAKES NAUSEATE ME
Blue Sky replied to GEAUX SAINTS's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I tolerate the powder better when I blend with fruit or fruit juice as I am in full liquid phase. Of course sugar is the trade off but make so I can get my protein in. -

Blue Sky replied to bruni's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Newbie and travel question after surgery
Blue Sky replied to Nyelaah's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Doctors normally give u one to two weeks to recover so I think you'll have more than enough time to be ready for your trip! -
I was given a prescription for gas. Pepcid and something else under tongue. Maybe that would help.

The Surgery and Muscle
Blue Sky replied to Joshua Barbour's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Your diet will be high in protein to help maintain muscle mass. -
Taylorla, Like Countrygirl said, take Tylenol or use the prescription painkiller they gave u for your surgery. Drink the hot tea u can... This worked for me. I know it's scary not to have the "go to" ibuprophen, but u will get through this bump, too.

It is definitely hard but keep pressing!

Yep you got it!

8 days out from surgery and the liquid diet is not filling. Can i puree some foods ?
Blue Sky replied to Michelle Harris's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I find that getting in the required protein does help curb hunger. -
I just made sure I took the prescribed pain med on time more so for cramping than the actual surgery! Hope u feel better soon.

Rosie, I just had same procedure at same time as u. The doc prescribed medicine for this. Perhaps u can call and ask your doctor for a prescription if u haven't. Pray u feel better. -
ALRIGHT ALL YOU LITTLE SKINNY MINNIES
Blue Sky replied to HYCIERRA's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Congratulations! When I get to that point I believe I will stick to the stores that sell a nice collection for larger people simply because they respect all sizes in their store and always made me feel welcome. stores like Macys, Belks and most major department stores in general. Not saying that I would limit myself, or suggesting u should but I am gonna still patronize those stores that helped me out with their selections. To your question try them all and have fun cause u can! Stay free! -

Low BMI and 10 days to go...what have I done
Blue Sky replied to chunkyloverlovesyou's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Best thing I can tell u is not to put pressure on yourself. Know you will be fine whatever you choose to do... And the choice is still yours! If u feel u r on a roller coaster, get off, and collect yourself. Be sure of your next move. -
2.5 Months Out & FAIL
Blue Sky replied to Thenewnic's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I already know I'm the odd man out but taken from somebody whose about to take this plunge, I'm glad to know life can be normal! I mean you can still go out, socialize and still feel free to participate as long as you know your boundaries! That's a good thing to me. -
