I suggest finding a Fitness Bootcamp for 30 days. You pay... so that's motivation in itself. Secondly it's accountability and will give you the boost and jump start you need!

Thanks for that enlightenment. I began to figure that out on my own so it's good to know what it's called and the obstruction it can cause. Thanks for sharing that and to the original poster for this topic!

February Sleevers - how are you doing?
Blue Sky replied to healthiswealth's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Surgery 2/9. Lost about 15 before surgery, around 13 after that. Hit a 3 week stall where I think I gained 5 pounds! Lost the 5 pounds over the past 2 weeks so I'm back at 13 after surgery. Crazy. I take solace in that I have gone down several sizes from a size 22 to an 18 and people are noticing! -
I'm still here and doing well!

4 weeks out. Depressed and questioning my choice.
Blue Sky replied to lclemur's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Iclemur, you will feel better about things. Give yourself time. I worked through those same emotions by enjoying the victories of the day! I found that when I go out with my family, I still eat what I like (and can eat) although not as much and I am able to finish my food at the same time as they do while enjoying their company all along! As long as others know u are alright with your portions, they will be also. Choose to have fun on purpose! -
Well I have read no 25 pounds for first 2 weeks. You're probably fine at 21/2. Just take it easy on yourself for a while. Listen to your body. You know when you do too much.

Cycling verses walking
Blue Sky replied to Lifeafter40's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Idk how far out you are but my doctor considers cycling as rigorous exercise and directed to wait weeks for all of that. Think about it, you are sort of engaging your stomach muscles more when u cycle. You don't want to do too much. -
If the pain is still severe, give your doctor or nurse a call for guidance. Should be someone on call even on a Sunday I would think. If not, and you don't have relief, go to emergency.

Protein & Fiber Water Enhancer...
Blue Sky replied to Michelle Rynsai's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So my dr's office advised at least 5 grams of protein for every 50 calories.. so looks like a good product from over here. -
Happy Two Month Surgerversary to Me!
Blue Sky replied to oatmealgirl's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Thanks for this post! It is very encouraging to me. I remember reading this last week and cut the soups. I believe it made a difference. Yes, I will hang in there and congrats on your success! -
I know it must be... But Just keep moving forward.

No. Had to wait four weeks before pureed. Had to work my own plan and have had no issues at all. Defer to your doctor. Why risk complications after you have come this far? Stay focused.

You can't lose what you never had. I believe this incident located this person in your life. Obviously not in friend category. Be glad you found out. You owe nobody anything.

Blue Sky replied to gofigure's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Lol that's funny. Don't feel bad. You can probably just stick to the surgery and leave it there. -

No one from work. Told closest relatives and friends. -
Slight pain after every time food reaches the stomach
Blue Sky replied to Cujucuyo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Got it now, Cuju. I feel relieved. Hope u feet better soon. It took me some time in the beginning to realize I needed to measure my liquids also. I was over doing it and didn't know it, causing myself extreme discomfort at times. Try slowing down between sips , making them smaller and measuring your servings... That helped me a lot. -
Excited and so happy with my sleeve
Blue Sky replied to sa1976's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Wow. That is so exciting! I hope I can be like you. -
Slight pain after every time food reaches the stomach
Blue Sky replied to Cujucuyo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Not sure what you mean by soft drinks but make sure there is no carbonation. Most diets post op do not include carbonated drinks from what I've read. Could be causing irritation. -
You will probably still be on liquids when u return to work... Possibly full liquids. That in mind, broth is needed.... Creamed soups. Later soft proteins like yogurt, cottage cheese.. You get the picture. I'm a month out and still on pureeds, but depends on your doctor.
