    New forum

Hi everyone I am 38 - well 39 next month and I live in Ipswich - Australia. This year is it for me!! No more putting it off!! I was banded in 2005 and lost 20 kilos and everything was going well until the 3rd fill which was too tight. I wasn't able to eat much and I think my metabolism slowed right down and I had some taken out which was ok at first but most of the weight came back on - but now the band is too loose. I was disapointed and upset and I stopped going to the gym and thought "what the hell" but I have realised that I did not do this to simply give up as soon as I hit a bump in the road so I am going back this week to have more in and to try again with a new attitude!! :help: :whoo: from this 2007 to this 2008

Am I the only bandster not losing?

The same happened to me - it just takes time and everyone is different. A few more fills and you will really notice the difference and you will only be able to eat a little. Mine is comming off slow but that's a good thing

    Gallbladder problems

GET RID OF THEM!!! They will only get worse - especially if you are going to have any children - I had the same - Doctor would not remove - I fell pregnant - and at 7 months had a bad attack and because of the baby - the attack was the worse pain ever. 6 weeks after birth - I had them out - best thing as I never had to worry about it again!!

    Post Lap Band heart palpatations

Yes - I had heart palps during the surgery and I was referred to a cardiologist as well. He thought this was caused by the drugs they give you to knock you out. He also said that the fibres rub together causing the palps. My Doctor says at some stage I will have to have them burnt - but I should be fine in the mean time but I have been having them again now - even though i had the surgery 2 years ago.
