Originally I was going to go to Mexico for mine. but I went to a lecture and saw the results of a patient (total body lift- but i'm not going to do all that) and was very impressed. He doesnt advertise as much as some of them do but you might want to consider him too. He is in Huntington Beach: Dr. Tavoussi. 714 596 2660. Has anybody had any after weight loss surgery plastic surgery at a surgery center? I can imagine getting a tummy tuck this way, but now im hearing about all the other proceedures as well. Has anyone had a body lift at a surgery center? How long does it take, and do you spend the night there? i thought this had to be done in a hospital? Im sure its less money at a surgery center but it sounds scary. In Mexico is it at a surgery center or hospital? does anyone know? thanks

Well, of course i don't know what your complication was, and I'm not a doctor. what do you mean that you "got no reply" though you drove to his office twice???? That doesn't make sense to me. What i meant by asking if a patient 'didn't do their part" was not following a post op diet, eating the wrong food which caused a slip or something.

I read what was said about Dr. Lopez by an unhappy patient. However, i went to Obesity help and other forums and heard great things from his happy patients. I met him and his staff; Dr. Jaramillo assisted Dr. Owens on my Lap Band at Angeles Hospital. Also, I've met other post op patients of Dr. Lopez at Dr. Owens' support groups in California. Obviously they do get good follow up, since they can either go to Dr. Lopez or Dr. Owens. I'm wondering if the patients who are unhappy with any of the Mexico surgeons follow up are taking responsibility for doing their part???:ranger:

Hi ....I've been enjoying all the messages on the forum so far! I didnt know about this site before my surgery. I chose Dr. Owens and planned to go to him in Long Beach, but i couldn't qualify for the loan amount. I didnt want to put surgery off any longer because I knew I would keep gaining. Dr. Owens bailed me out because he sometimes works with Dr. Lopez in Tijuana, he offered to do my surgery there for me. I had my lap band on Sept 10, and have lost 37 pounds. :bounce:
