THEY ARE AGAINST WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY BECAUSE THEY WILL LOSE MONEY. ONE GUY WAS THERE FOR 4 YEARS AND GAIN 200 POUNDS THERE. IT ABOUT THE MIGHTY DOLLAR THOSE PEOPLE ARE DOLLAR SIGNS TO THEM, AS LONG AS THEY THERE THEY ARE MAKING MONEY :faint:

there is these 100 cal packs that everyone sell try eating those so you can track you intake better I eat the hostess, I'm also on weight watchers it's only 1 point

my co worker used Dr. Carter she loves that guy and he have been duing lapband for a long time a great option for u guys rather than going to Mexico I am so happy that we have better option in the US I was lucky my insurance will cover mines but good luck to everyone

my doctors said my total cal intake should be 700-1000 I think that's the problem I eating about 1700-2500 cal now and I am not banded yet. so I think about 1000 cal a day and exercise for about 30 min a day will do the trick

aetna does cover the lapband, but your company have to have it add to their policy you can call them tell them the company you work for and they can tell you if lapband is cover I know that Aetna requires a 6 month supervised diet with you DR. 5 years weight history showing that you have been overweight for 5 years and a BMI of 35 and over. (So call them and find out if its covered if so find u a lapband dr. and let them deal with the insurance company

I would suggust that u start the 6 month diet now so when your company ass WLS to your insurance you can already have a head start on the 6 month supervised diet with you Doctor

are u get insurance with your employer or you are purchasing it your self

The Coworker that I have been doing the entire process with told everyone at work that we both was getting banded now all day people are sking why are you doing this you don't look that big (what the hell do u mean that BIG ) did u try exercising? (what the f%@*) what can u eat? (S&%$) this is the reason I didn't want anyone to know and now she regrets it. the good thing is that I work for a Bank so I can just transfer to a different Branch closer to my house a fresh start. :angry

I am the opposite I have lost 12 pound since my first labwork I figure lets start giving it my all now that's weight that will never come back (not like other times time 5) I want start my new heathly life now but my Doctor told me to start winging my self to those better choice believe me I have ate a few last suppers but I have started walking 30 mins my goal after surgery is 45 min 5 days a week.

also some protein powder have that gross after taste not unjury

I am staying on plan today because my husband is finally beginning to support me descision to get banded.(good boy)

:eek:after reading post here about people not losing, are taking a year to lose 25 months I am a little worried I was a lot more confident until I started reading others. but I am a lot younger and more active them most of them, I wonder if its from them not changer there eating habits my Dr. said I should loos about 1-3 pounds a week if I don't its because I am doing too much snacking. so I am a little scare that I would be stuck with a port and not lose any weight but I am ready for the challenge

I have UHC Choice plus Texas it pays 90%I have to pay 10% whick came out to be 1400.00 because of my out of pocket max is 1400.00 but I called the hospital that I will be having the surgery they said I could pay some thing every month til its paid off just have to bring 100.00 the day of the surgery . but I had to pay the Dr. up front 300.00 deducatable and fees which came out to be 420.00 so still not bad compare to what I am getting back (my life)
