my dear friend that has had a bypass gave me this advice when it comes to talking to people that are not supportive: "stop having that conversation with that person". It worked for me.

If you really really want the lapband here are some things to think about: 1. how many pounds are you away from being 40bmi?then decide if you want to eat your way there. it sounds horrible but most of us have been up an down with our weight for a very long time. who's to say that you won't be at 40 eventually 2. If you achieve bmi 40 what type of weight history (3 yr, 5yr) and weight documentation for that history (medical records;photos) does your ins. require? I am not endorsing or recommending anything, I just want to give you something to think about. I hope this helps

I was interviewing a teacher for a position that I had open. The lady was quite obese. Anyway, she said at her previous job a kid (high school) called her fat. She said that she told him I can lose fat but you can't lose ugly. She had the guts to tell a student that and repeat it in a job interview? I ain't mad at her. Lil bad :cursing:

I finally got in touch with naomi on Friday. She confirmed that she had sent my paperwork to bc bs at least a week before. I called bc bs today and they said that they received my file on the 12th and that it could take 4 weeks for an answer! :cursing::angry_smile: How long did it take for bc bs to approve you all after they received your paperwork?

when i asked my gastric bypass friend about her hair loss her response was simply "can you tell'. frankly i couldn't. i am just not really sweating it. besides i will rock the stank out of some remi hair weave:lol:

I have gained 60lbs in the last two years so i don't go around people that haven't seen me in a long time. I also don't do photos.

Well today, during this sacred time i called and was told that they received it on the 12th and to give it some time because it could take up to four weeks for an answer.
