I Know You Probably Won't Read This Until After Surgery, But I Truly Wish You The Best Of Luck And Congratulations!!!! My Prayers Are With You And Hope For A Speedy Recovery.

I Also Had My Gallbladder Taken Out About 7 Yrs. Ago,but I Had It Done Laparascopically. I Was Wondering Will It Be An Issue During Surgery, By The Way I'm Scheduled For 9-19-05, My Dr. Said There Might Be Some Scar Tissue And Might Be In The Way. I Hope There Won't Be Any Problems Because I Would Really Hate To Have The Open Surgery.

Finally Got My Approval, Too Excited!!! Now The Anxiety Really Kicks In. I Can't Wait To Have My Surgery On 9-19-05. Just Wanted To Let Yall Know And Share My Happiness!!!!!

Well, this morning I go to my doctor to sign my consent forms for surgery on 9-19-05. Still waiting on approval from Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, but my doctor's nurse manager spoke to my insurance on Friday, and it looks favorable. I start my liquid diet today, somewhat still confused about what I can eat after surgery. Hope to get response from insurance today or tomorrow, now getting somewhat nervous of their reply. The closer the date gets, the more nervous I get about the surgery itself, will I be in alot of pain? Anyway, I am also very excited to have my lapband done, I guess I have alot of different feelings going on!!! Is this normal???

My prayers are with both of you, good luck and keep us posted. I want to know all the details since, hopefully, I'll be getting banded next monday (9-19-05).

Well, I've Finally Finished With All My Pre-ops And I Finally Got A Date For My Surgery (9-19-05). Now The Wait Is On My Insurance Approval, Hopefully I Won't Be Denied. I'd Hate To Have To Wait Any Longer For This Surgery Cause I Am So Anxious To Have It Done And Be Part Of Lapband Gang. Does Anyone Have Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield? If So, Please Let Me Know If They Are Easy To Approve For Lap Band Surgery. My Surgeon, Dr. Chaudry, Says He Believes It Won't Be A Problem With Insurance And That I Should Have A Reply Within A Week From Them, But Just The Waiting Is So Stressful. Anyway, If Anyone Has Any Feedback On Empire B/c B/s, Please Advise Me. Thanks

I Was Recently Told That I Should Do Some Exercises And Weights To Get My Skin Elasticity Back (whatever That May Be). Anyway, If Anyone Has Any Suggestions , Please Inform Me Because I Am Currently Going To The Y But I Feel As Though My Instructor Is Not Pointing Me In The Right Direction. By The Way, My Instructor Probably Weighs About 130 Lbs. So How Could She Even Know What I Am Going Through!!! Lol Thanks!!!!

Comments for Before and After Pictures
vanesav replied to DeLarla's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I've just viewed the before and after pictures and I must say everyone looks wonderful!!! It really motivates me and after every picture I view, I know this is worth it. I was a little skeptical about the lap band thinking I would lose less weight than I wanted, but thanks to this wonderful web site, I now know I really do want the lap band. I can't wait to get mines done, hopefully by next month I will be scheduled. Thank you guys for the inspiration and keep up the good work. God Bless -
Hello everyone, I am a new member, hopefully will be scheduled for lap band in the next few weeks. Currently I am having my pre op tests done, had EKG, Endoscopy and bloodwork done, have appt. for pulmonologist evaluation next week. I want to know is the pulmonary function test painful and how long will I have pain after the surgery.
