I have been overweight my entire life, first memory around 11 of someone saying I was overweight or fat. And it was never kids or classmates... Always adults. Thankfully, I have always played sports and exercised. I have no "skinny" pictures. I am always the biggest person in family photos. I have always shopped at plus size. For 25 years I have fluctuated between the same 45 pounds, 220 to 265. (One time I got down to 217). In 2011, ate age 39, 1st attempt for insurance approval. It was denied. The insurance company said I was a healthy, morbidly obese person. Then (drumroll please)...... Insurance company requirements change to national standard Finally, 8 months later, I have a date..... Oct. 7th. Feeling relieved. A co-worker that had the surgery recommended bariatric pal.
