Amazing progress!

Well, I had my endoscopy yesterday and today I passed my nutritional and psychological evaluations so next step is requesting Prior Approval from insurance company. I am so excited.

I have met with the surgeon, had my labs, chest xray, and ekg. Scheduled for my endoscopy on 9/30, nutritional and psych eval on 10/1. I am very excited and a little scared but looking forward to the future.

That's a great question. I also am gluten sensitive and was wondering about Protein supplements. If they are gluten free. Beaglelover-yes, there is a blood test to check for gluten sensitivity.

hi all. i went to the information session last night fully decided on the band and they made it seem like it wasn't the best choice, how it's fallen out of favor. i was wondering what made y'all decide on the band instead of the other procedures. it seems to me, from this forum, that band are successful if managed well and person does what they are supposed too. i had not wanted something so invasive, but now i guess i am second guessing. my surgical consult isn't until Sept 17th.

Thanks for all the kind responses. I was also leaning toward the band because it was less invasive and reversible. I want to be well informed and not regret my decision a year from now. I really appreciate the feedback.

i was wondering what y'all have done that made a huge difference in your weight loss following the band placement. I am currently about 100lbs overweight and am going to a meeting tomorrow night to learn more. i am well researched and am leaning toward the surgery and would like some guidance. love the forums and the support.
