I had Roux en Y Gastric Bypass on July 8th, 2014. this was carried out in Aberdeen, Scotland by Prof Duff Bruce. I have had very little problems and feel great. it is only recently that I have started getting pain in my left side, some vomiting and lack of ability to eat meats. but on reading some of your posts it appears that these are all normal which is reassuring. I started at 115Kgs when I originally saw the dietician, after completing the pre op diet I had come down to 111kgs. I was weighed 2 wks ago and at that time I was 100kgs. I have not weight myself since.
I feel great (apart from the couple of glitches). My husband however did not want me to have this done and is still not happy that I did it. I am therefore hoping that everything will settle down quickly.
