I bet so!! I'm so big on taste, if it's gross I gag!! And with a new stomach surgery I don't want to gag!!How is your pain level? Are you feeling better? It's always better to be at home, no rest in the hospital!!

Oh I have started getting those pangs of nervousness!! I'm also an hour past my cutoff for protein shakes and I'm on all clears, I can't believe I made it 10 days on that diet!!

Lots of us this week!!! Praying for us all! Tomorrow is mine, I know there were a lot of 15ths & 16ths!!! Good luck & hopefully we will all be checking in soon with good updates!!

I've been worried about that too, I have about 100-120 to lose, i know it's all about the individual but I am a numbers person and I like to know everything I can before I do anything. I'm trying not to bug my surgical team so much but they have been great. They have told me 60% is what they consider success, so I am thinking that is kind of what they would say if someone didn't live up to the expectations. My mother is 6 months out & down 70 lbs so it's all about what we do and how serious we are! They also tell me it's related to how much you need to lose to begin with. Someone who needs to lose a lot more than that will have a faster loss than someone with 100lbs to lose.

The headache is unbearable for me! That and now I'm getting the sniffles!!! This stinks! Don't worry, you're not the only one who is moody either!! My husband comes in reading me the menu to a restaurant here in town that he's taking my son to dinner to tonight & I went off on him!!! He's lucky I didn't toss my protein drink at him lol I'm closing out day 6 of 10, praying I keep going. I've been weak and moody but tonight and getting a second wind! I'm praying for you all!! This is tough, but it's our second lease on life!! ❤️

I have found the black cherry in the Sf jello is the only one I like! I would probably just kill for a scrambled egg right now- funny how your brain works. I know most is mind over matter but dang it I'm a little hungry!!! I haven't cheated or strayed once, and that's hard considering I have to cook for my son & pack his lunch. I just wanted to lick the peanut butter off the butter knife so bad but I fought the urge. This constant headache too, that stinks!! But enough of my complaining- day 5 is in the books, I've prayed for the last year for this surgery, I'm not going to let 5 more days stop me!!! Y'all are right, we've got this!!! Let's keep each other going, esp since it's getting tough on us!! ????????

Are you excited? I am! I'm in day 5 of my liquid preop diet and today, just to be honest, today is horrible!!! I've done well the other days just for today to feel like I've been hit by a bus!!! ????

My Surgery is the 15th! ???? I am on day 2 of my liquid diet!! What an eye opener this is!!! I've been making videos and taking pictures for my own use to look back on, I look at the 15th as the first day of the rest of my life! My mom had gastric bypass in March and is down 70 lbs, and her BMI is 29 now! She's totally off all of her diabetic, BP, and other Meds and doing awesome, so we really have a lot to look forward to!!! ????

If I hear from one more uninformed person that these surgeries are the easy way out I will flip on them!!! There is NOTHING EASY ABOUT IT!! That's why I haven't told anyone but my Mom, Dad, Husband & 1 childhood friend. No one will even know I'm in the hospital. I hate to be so secretive about it but most of my family are so judgmental and jealous that I am just saving myself the drama!!! Good luck with it all!!! ????

I'd love to have a support buddy too!! ???? I'm only on day 2 of my clear liquid diet, I have a 5 year old I still have to cook for when his Dad isn't home... I feel better today than yesterday but I'm scared these protein drinks & SF jello are getting old fast!!! Anyone have any good clear liquids they can share?! I'm almost 2 days in the book, 8 left then my Big Day!!

Yours is the day before mine....I am so excited!!! I'll be having my surgery in Carmel Indiana That's wonderful! We can help each other thru it! I'm in Hickory, NC. I'm so ready, I would have done it yesterday

I just received my approval for surgery!!! My date is September 15th! So relieved, insurance took 27 out of their 30 days to approve me.
