Excellent!! Keep at it!! I am just over a year smoke-free after 15 years smoking. I have never felt better!!

It makes me feel better knowing that my doubts are par for the course. It has really been stressing me out and the closer it comes the more nervous I get. It's nice to know that I am not the only one. I know it's a tool and won't work by itself but did you all fear that the band wouldn't work for you?

255 today..nothing remarkable... but haven't given hope yet!

I have never seen so many supportive and caring people in one place. I love it here. I do alot more reading than posting, but I am here everyday, fidning answers to my questions and common fears and goals. LBT is a comfort zone. Thank you LBT!

Okay.. ordinarily I would be lost... but luckily I have a teenage son that is a Warcraft Junkie. ONE DAY: I went up behind him as he was playing Warcraft, and tickled his ribs and said "BOO!" I have come to the point in my life where I can no longer allow food to be my best friend. I will miss my life long friend, but I must move on. I have found a new friend you see, someone that I can trust and confide in. Someone that will not treat me to those naughty little late night snacks.Someone that will not be negative towards my decision for WLS. Someone that is a GOOD LISTENER! I would like to take this moment to introduce you all to my new friend.

You can totally do this!!! Imagine that you were told if you quit smoking they would approve you.. would you quit? Now you have been approved, you made a promise. And guess what? You have so much to do right now to get ready for your surgery, it just might be a great time to quit. It will not by any means, be easy. Trust me I know. I will be smoke free exactly one year on the 15th. I smoked over a pack a day for 15+ years. I will admit though that it took me a couple of times quitting to totally quit. I definetely recommend the patch. I used it for the first 2 weeks and it helped me tremendously! Do it, Do it now... it feels great!
