Ok let me think...... Plan a) is a good one health wise and long term, but it does mean that all the arrangements that you have made so far are screwed up. And by nature I am impatient so that would jack me off. Plan :biggrin: Have you seen a load of his before and afters? Do you like his results, and I think a quite important one.... does he use staples? I was very shocked that a COSMETIC surgeon used staples as they are most likely going to leave scars, and I havent heard on MMH of anyone else having them. The thigh lift thing is a bummer, but you dont know after a LBL what it will look like and it could be that the LBL will solve the problem. Is it impossible for these guys to be free on the origional date that you had planned? Plan c) If it doesnt hide the port and he has stitched it under the fascia, it is going to make it more problematic in the future to reslove that issue, and I am still stuck on the staple thing. The way that my PS works is to do internal permenant stitching to hold the skin in place so that there is NO tension on the actual scar site, to say that he might have to do stapling because of the tension makes me a bit worried. May be that is your everything happens...... If I were you right now, I would go for plan :eek: But see loads of picutres and talk to the PS at length and then move heaven and earth to try to tie them both to the origional date! Losing - do you have a copy of the papers you got with your origional surgery, if you requested saline and they fitted sillicone then I smell a lawsuit. Which would incidentally cover the cost of your surgeries :biggrin: Cant help it its what I do for a living :eek: Tami - I was going to say about things happening for a reason , but that normally provokes one of 2 very different reactions in people! I would say that although the $$ is an absolute nightmare it sounds to me like you would prefer them to work in tandem in a hospital setting, so then the $$ arent the most important thing to you ( well you know what I mean) You are a very focused and determined woman, if anyone can pull this off you can! Ousooner - Bummer about the cholesterol, but it desnt affect the surgery and now that you know about it, you can do something about it! Now you can just relax and wait for the big day!!! I ahvent had any pre-op bloods done yet, they do them the day before in France:eek: but I am taking comfort in the fact that I know from my IVF that I dont have any of the nasties, and I only had my band pre-op done in October last year so things cant have changed that much, and I am a damn sight fitter than I was when I had my band fitted. Karey - How are you today hon? There is nooooo way that I could cut all of that out of my diet, its the spices and garlic bit that would bum me out! Oh Holy Moly I didnt think about them pulling the skin down.........shizzle!! Is it so bad to have the port done after?As it is just the port and they dont have to move the liver out of the way, surely they can do it with a tiny incision? I am probably not helping here....... is your port visible now? Is it something that you could live with for a bit? Why did you not chose the 2nd choice first? Can they do it on the same date that you had origionally? Hope you get it sorted hon ((hug)) Nina x

OMG!! LOSING!!!! Talk about heart stopping moments!! I dont know whether it is good news or bad news, it is good that the lumps were harmless, but bad news that you must have nearly had a frickin heart attack when you found them.As for the implants, jeez hon I dont know what to say other than better that you found them now,at least this way you can get it sorted, maybe the insurance will cover most of the cost and you just pay for the new implants? Oh feck hon, are you going to be able to get all of this sorted in time? I am crossing everything for you that it all gets sorted. Let us know what your PS says! Nina x

Wow Neal that is waaaaaay slim, you hunk!!! And the rollercoaster goes UUUUUUP!!! It is just getting so REAL!! Bugger I just typed a really long reply and lost it!!! God that pisses me off!! I wanted to say that my muslim/black friends are just as embarrassed as I am about the state of the UK. You are right hon, they do pick and choose what they report on, but can the policy makers not see that all they are doing is getting people riled up. I live in a country now where you can quite literally be arrested for saying the wrong thing, it is lunacy! I dont agree with rasism in any form but unfortunatly in the UK there are racial tensions on all sides and as yet phrases like 'white trash' havent been outlawed, this leads to a situation that you see all the time at schools where if there are 2 kids involved in a fight, that was started because they fell out , not for a race reason, the white child will be expelled. I think that they both should, JMHO In the Uk now we have lost control of our borders thanks to the mighty EU, which insists, despite the fact that most of the origional member states have no intention of ever sticking to them, on brining out more and more laws that restrict and define the way that you can live in your own home. The eastern block countries ( known to most of you yanks as the good old USSR) are now members of the EU which gives them the freedom to travel into the UK whenever they want to look for work.....or claim benefits. We have the most lenient social security system in the world, we have free healthcare for all, and dya know what we are IMPLODING. Go to France and by the channel tunnel crossing the French set up camps, and in those camps there were leaflets being distributed in many languages on how to claim asylum, how to claim benefits and how much you will get if you go to the UK!! Our police are encountering forms of organised crime the likes of which they have never seen before, child sex trades, women being sold - and I mean SOLD into prostitution - the russian mafia is alive and well and living in the UK. In the mean time the government is reacting by banning baa baa black sheep banning the word blackboard leaving thousands of kids in care because they are mixed race , so white parents cannot adopt them banning the union jack from being flown in council offices during the olympic games and the world cups details on how to claim benefits being printed in 30/50 different languages arguing constantly about what might offend, and I mean offend anyone, other of course than the middle class, who just get the fun job of footing the bill for it all. I think, no I KNOW that the muslims of the world are just as pissed off with what the radical idiots are doing as the rest of us, I just dont think that the PC luncy is helping anyone. Different approach to the whole suing doctors in the UK, as in the governmet has made it virtually impossible for you to do it. I can bore you with details about proportionality ,negligence, causation and the fact that we dont have punative damages, but trust me I used to deal with them, and if they chop off the wrong leg it could take you 10 years to get 30,000. We already have routine DNR,s being placed on patients - against their wishes, old age pensioners dying in hospital from malnutrition because the nurses put their food just out of reach and they are too weak to get it, and nobody notices that the old dear in bed 5 hasnt eaten anything for 10 days until she dies, then an investagation is held and after 5 years they agree that 'lessons need to be learned',so as a UK resident I am fairly sceptical about the governments ability to regulate the whole affair. Bitter ....me....???

Ok on the unfill situation, when I was in Lyon it wasnt the PS that was bothered about it, it was the ANAETHETIST, she was concerned about me being too tight incase it somehow made her job more difficult in an emergency., didnt manage to get into too much detail what with her being French and all, I think it has something to do with intubation? My PS didnt care, and he operates on lapband patients all the time. Apparently there is a chance that it will swell slightly post op, so the advice I was given as I am not too tight at the moment, was dont unfill but dont put any more in either. Karey - I can understand why her not knowing about the low profile port would bother you, but she sounds really caring which to me is half the battle. I think it is brilliant that she will drain it and put exactly the same amount back in!! Ask your PS for the anti nausea tablets, they can also give you a jab in the recovery room that works really well, I think it is a definate better safe than sorry situation.I know that I have dry heaved for ages after at least 2 anaesthetics. so get the jab it stops it instantly! Oh Karey, the hours that I spend at the moment wandering around yanking my stomach out of the way - not a lot I can do with my thighs though, I was trying to drape towels around the edges of them the other day to guess what they would look like.........didnt work!! Losing - I know it sounds strange but I was hoping that I did have separation so that he would pull me in nice and tight! You forget I am going to have free acces to morphine for the first week so I dont care about the stitching! It is gutting to think that is my natural waist measurement! When are you at the gym next? Tami did say to me afterwards that she thought it might have been the going up in weight that did the damage to the boobies as much as the going down. I will ask my PS! She smiles - It is soooo exciting even when you take that first step hon, my PS did digital before and afters, and when I walked out of that office I was grinning from ear to ear! Well I have just found out that the friend that was going with us, then not going, then going with us again, has just found out that she is pregnant, so she definatly WONT be going with us, need to change back all the arrangements that I had made, my PS is going to get frigged off if we arent careful! If any of these diets worked as well as the folllowers of them would have us believe, they would all go out of business,because no-one would ever need to go again. They make money (and pots of it) BECAUSE they know that we will fail, that the hunger will get the better of you at some point and then you will fall back into the old habits.Then you go back and get reindoctrinated, and they start making money again.The majority of their business is repeat custom. They can teach you about food and nutrition and that if you eat too much you will get fat (no shit sherlock) but what they cant do is control your hunger. In my experiance I knew all about the other shizzle but the hunger always won out in the end.

Good on ya girl, if I am being honest I cannot see what he is doing that is so different that he has to use staples, if my PS can use dissolvables why can't he. Grill him hon. I have got a download of one of my ps's articles that focuses a lot on the stitching if you want to swot up before you see him, it helped me understand what they do, I know , I know, I am a control freak........ Sometimes the machine is keeping you alive while the rest of you recovers, in that situation I would fight to keep my kin alive. When there is true brain death then there is no hope,but some cases are a wait and see situation, in that situation I would want them to fight to save, not hang round like vultures thinking what they could harvest.

I dont mind being asked, I dont have a problem with selling , but the idea that docs can just take what they want without asking?????? If one of my kids (god forbid) were in that situation and they didnt ask, I would take the hospital apart brick by brick. You also get into the debate about how hard will they try to save you if you fit the category just right, they have a limited time scale for donation, and they cant afford to let the organs fail, lets face it they are happy enough to pull the plug over cost issues, how bad would it get if they had even more benefit to them from doing it? Just my opinion.

Hi my little band of beauties!! I had a major food lapse last night, are we all psychically link or what!!LOL I am going to kick my own butt in a bit, I have got loads of housework to do, and then I am on that power plate and lifting those weights til my arms are crying!!!LOL I have just worked out that TOM will arrived 4/5 days post-op, please god dont let her be early!!! On the boobs and hips front, I am with Tami, I have always got away with carrying more weight because of me boobs, makes the waist look so much smaller. Which brings me on to my current stress!!LOL Bear with me on this, when I went for my consult I noticed that a lot of his patients looked very straight up and down after sx, very flat , very good scars, very chic even, but none the less very straight up and down. I have NEVER been staright up and down, I have always been an hourglass, at my slimmest after baby 2 I was 35-24-35 and no matter what my weight was all my measurments went up in those proportions with at least 10" between.After baby5 it dropped to about 8" and I noticed it, BUT he is certain that I DONT have separation, so no MR for me. He has told me that as we get older we do tend to thicken and has gone to great lengths to explain that if he pulls the sides in too much he will be left with excess skin at the front. My worry is that with the amount of lipo I am having on my ass and thighs he is going to shave 3" off which will mean that i will look very STRAIGHT ARRRRRGGGGHHH, it is stressing me OUT I noticed that all of the French women I saw seemed to have that shape, very chic very cosmo. I dont want COSMO, I want PLAYBOY!!!LOL He has said that he will lipo my waist as well, but I am now fretting that my body shape will change so much that I wont like it. What can I say I dont care what I look like IN clothes, I want DH to be thinking about getting me out of them! I am going back in May to get the boobs done as long as I can get finance sorted and he is doing a lot of lipo then, maybe if I am not happy with the waist he could lipo it into shape? Sorry about the me me me, I just cant stop thinking about it! Karey - get the implants hon, as you can tell from my rant I really do believe that it makes you look slimmer, not forgetting sexier! Mine doesnt use them, I would ask him what his reasoning is hon, if you arent happy about it then you need to talk to him. I am having dissolvable stitches on the outside and he uses thick nylon internally where all of the tension is taken.I am having a high lateral tension TT, but all the tension is taken on the inside to take the pressure of the skin. Ask him what his reason is and if it makes sense to you then you will be happy. Nina x

Gotta love the UK.......lets face it in our hospitals they will probably kill you anyway, it just means that now they meant to so they could do their harvesting.
