Well I enjoy having this forum here. I discuss stuff with you guys that I would never discuss with anyone face to face. You guys aren't judgmental, and for those who are, I just ignore. The fact is, this is a great learning space too.

Gee, you got it right away.... How about I got the name because a guy I was dating broke up with me right before I pledged and it was because I wouldn't blow him. He went with the girl who did. How's that for irony?:sneaky:
-
Thanks for the input Renob. Its so cool to see a guys side of things. As for KCV, if you can't enjoy being with your partner, no matter what way it is, you need help. Keep reading this room and you will learn.:sneaky: As for my problem this week, went down on my man just 2 hours after eating dinner, and for the first time in a long time, I gagged and pb'd. I was so embarassed, but he was really cool about it. Oh, and my pledge name in college, for my soriority, was BJQ. Infer what you must.:cool2:

Up top weight loss (ladies)
Chrisann replied to la8again's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Went from a 44DD/42DD (depending on the bra) to a 42D so far. I can't feel a difference, but the DD bra cups were getting too loose. My friend said he can't tell the difference. -
I am down 57 pounds now, and went from a 26 to a 20. I had been wearing the 24 shirts and blouses, and had my 26 pants tailored. Everything is still baggy. Well, I had to go to a wake, so bought a new suit in size 20, which at this point is a loose size 20. I couldn't believe how good I looked. Now, have spent the past 5 nights going through my closets, getting rid of everything bigger than a 20. I decided I liked how good I looked in a size 20, so there is no reason to keep the baggy bigger clothes. I am shopping at Walmart and discount stores to get clothes in my current size to keep my costs down, but ladies, believe me, once you put on something that is the right fit, you never want to go back to the baggy older clothes.

Mine came 6 weeks later and was heavy and lasted almost a week. It was messed up for three additional months too. Now I am back on schedule and 4 days.
-
I got my period on the day of surgery, 4 days early. They gave me the stretchy hospital underpants and one of those gigantic pads. In reality, It felt comforting to have the underpants on otherwise I would have been wide open down there....

I once dated a guy who couldn't keep an erection, and wouldn't use any pills. He was by the far, the best lover that I ever had when it came to pleasing me. I can't really describe why, but it was all what I wanted, he wanted a bj and sex for the few minutes he could keep it up. He was the one that introduced me to sex toys because before him, never even looked at one in person. So, for anyone that is not sure on using toys, don't be afraid. You can experience sensations that you never thought you had.

Knockouts - Six Month Progress Status
Chrisann replied to HeatherO's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Do you go to the doctor regularly? I have to go just about every month. There could be medical reasons you are having problems. I would make an appt ASAP and get checked out. If for nothing else, than to make sure everything is ok for your move to Spain. -
I am going to see the doctor tomorrow, I don't think I need a fill but I have been avoiding the scale, so I guess it all depends on what I lost.

Knockouts - Six Month Progress Status
Chrisann replied to HeatherO's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Well this past week has put it, morbidly, into perspective. A friend from college passed away, a man I dated as a freshman. He was 43. Hadn't seen him in over 5 years, so his death was a shock but I wasn't devastated, if you get what I mean. I was a little sister to his fraternity, and I knew that all the "brothers" were going to go to the wake. I had to go to the store to buy a new suit because everything I had in the closet was too big. I got a size 20. These guys only knew me large. I was never this thin in college, so I wanted to make sure I looked good when I went to the wake. I walked in with a friend of mine. We stood together, he was a "brother" that I kept in contact with, so he knew about the surgery, etc. Well, all the guys from college came in, knew Peter, but didn't recognize me. Once Peter said my name, everyone was in shock and stunned how good I looked:w00t: I hadn't seen some of these guys in almost 20 years! We all went out after to a diner, and I ordered two eggs and sausage, finished most of it with no incident, and no one knew I had the band. I was so happy that they noticed how I looked, and commented on it, I didn't want the band to become the topic. But how morbid am I? I get complimented frequently now, but the compliments and looks I got at the wake meant more to me than anything I had ever gotten. These guys were my past. I was there to pay respects to my friends family, but it was more about seeing these people. Today, I have been having such mixed feelings over this. -
I have discovered that if I am not eating enough with a ramped up exercise program, I don't lose. I would try to do protein shakes throughout the day as well, as that will get the protein in. Keep a food journal too.
-
That sounds like alot of food to me RT. But then again, I am tight all the time now, and eating very small, controlled portions. No breads, pastas, rice, not even more than a few forkful of vegetables. I would speak to the doctor about that. Mine has a chart that shows restriction levels.
-
Well I have to admit that I was more worried about the deep throating. I thought that might do something to the band. Swallowing? its liquid and it went right on through for me both nights. Can't go for a third try cause right now I am out of town, but he works nights and is only home on Monday and Tuesday anyway. With me having the surgery and being as open as I have been lately I would have no problem telling them in the emergency room that I enjoy bj's and that is why i was in there.:biggrin2::thumbup:

Shopping has been great. I am down to a size 20 from a 24 and my altered clothes can't be altered any more. Its hard to get pants because I need a 31 inch inseam so I was trying to alter my 24's but just can't do them anymore. I have been going to Walmart to fill in my wardrobe. I don't want to pay alot of money since I am in a transient clothing stage. Spending under $10 for blouses and pants and jeans is right in my price range. I have 10 bags going out to charity so far. That is 10 garbage bags!!! I never realized how much I liked clothes. And I do like how my butt is shrinking that I had a guy at work comment on it, followed by an ""I am sorry I didn't mean that". But I can say it does look good in a size 20 jeans.

5 month plateau-Just needed to rant
Chrisann replied to Megmarie21's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Are you sure about your fill amount? There is no way you should be able to eat a half of an english muffin, thin sliced pizza or even a muffin if you are at 7.2cc's in a 10cc band. Part of me and my 6.2cc's in a 10cc band is jealous, but then not because I don't miss them and don't want to start up with them again. -
:seeya: Other than the trips to the bathroom, how are you feeling?
-
I am going out of town on business tomorrow for the rest of the week, so we have planned to meet up again tonite, so will have to see if that is what it was.
-
Well guys, you know tonite, with me and my friend, we ate dinner, salads, and I could hardly get anything down. Was feeling super tight all day. Two hours later, I still had that full feeling, but things started heating up. So, and this is the weird thing, we just fooled around, no sex, lots of touching, and a bj. Deep throat, swallowed, and it all went down. No gagging, no full feeling, and unbelievable, incredible HUNGER, when it was over. It was the weirdest thing. I haven't felt that kind of Hunger since the surgery. Didn't know what to make of it.

From 455 lbs to 190.. back to 500! Surgery in 9 days!!
Chrisann replied to 2KpUpwithAvery's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Congrats on the decision to get the lap band. Its the best thing I ever did for myself. Concentrate on getting ready for the surgery, follow whatever the doctors tell you to do. The presurgical work is well worth it. The goal is to shrink your liver so then can put the band in. So, please since you have made this decision, follow what you are being told by the doctor. Its a great thing to go back and stick it in your ex's face when the weight starts coming off. I am no where near goal, and saw my ex, and it was priceless.:scared2: -
I am not having difficulties with mushrooms if I cut them up very small, like you are cutting them up for a toddler to eat. Everyones band is different. Me, I can't eat chicken at all. But can eat Pork chops and steak. I eat fruit and veggies too, just cut things up really small and peel any tough skin. I also juice the veggies and fruit in my juicer when I am tight and not getting them down. But all things are now in moderation. I peel a grapefruit and section it, and can only eat half. Strawberries-3 max sliced. Mushrooms as you mentioned, when sauteed, 4 medium sized ones, sliced. Stuffed, the way my mom stuffs them, I can eat 5 of them, cut in small pieces. However, can't eat any other food for a few hours after that, so I make sure I had enough Protein earlier if I go that route.

I came here to see your answers, as my best friend is a guy, he said I cheated when I got the band, because he felt I wasn't trying to lose the weight before. Well, the fact that I am down 50+ since surgery has changed his tune. In the time I have lost the 50 he has gained it, and at 398, 6'4" he is starting to feel the stress on his legs and feet. He is flirting with the idea of the band, but he is a man's man type of guy, big meals, out with the guys, etc so is waffling. He can't cut down on what he is eating. How do I get him to see that you guys were able to do it and be successful? Because while he is now applauding my success thus far, he can't imagine eating the small portions I do now and eating healthy.

5 month plateau-Just needed to rant
Chrisann replied to Megmarie21's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Its ok to rant, that is why we are all here. Try to watch what you are eating and try to not to eat out of stress. Make sure you are loading up on Proteins, and get them in any way you can. Avoid carbs and sugars. Try to walk in your house if you can, like go up and down the stairs 10 times, if you have stairs. At work, if you can, walk around for 5 minutes every hour. Just try to get in 1 hour a week of some kind of activity. Doc says you have 7.2cc's but if food is going down too easily, ask them to check for a leak, you never know. Hang in there, you might just be a super slow loser. My feeling is that as long as you aren't gaining, its a positive. -
I am not getting stomach swelling, but I am retaining Water, never did that before, I see it in my fingers and feet now. I can't get anything down the day before and the first two days of my period. Even mushy and liquids are tough. Before surgery, my periods were easy, no cramping, no water retention now, my family knows it my time of the month because my face looks drawn and I look beat.

Great news!!!!
