Kacee, I was just baned last week at the similar weight you started. I don't feel any restrictions now, my swelling must have gone down. After my first fill what will it feel like when I eat, the same as when I was swollen still? Did you change all of what you ate to lose weight or do you still eat what you want just obviosuly much less? -
anyone cheat on pre op diet?

I went to NYC the weekend before my surgery for our anniversary (scheduled on wed). I had breakfast and dinner, desserts...I didn''t have to lose weight initially but was still suppose to be on the pre-op diet and I really did not succeed and I did not mention it to my doc when I went in and I was waiting for her to tell me when I woke up thatmy liver was so fat and she could tell but that was not the case. I stuck to liquid shakes and broth Mon and Tues...Good Luck -

Hi, I had my surgery last week and I am doing great. The first week is stuff. At first the liquids won't bother you because you are not hungry at all. There must be swelling which acts like a fill I guess and then slowly the swelling must go down and you can tolerate more so just take it slow and stick with the diet they give you post op...I also had a lot of pressue in my upper chest. I later realized it was upper gi gas...Gas X will help with the pressure should you get it..Good Luck -
I was just banded on Oct 17th. I am doing pretty well but I definitely have pressure/discomfort in my mid breast bone...I really don't have much hunger probably due to the swelling but are already having urges to eat thing that I know would go down easy...Way to early to think about sabotaging (sp?) myself....Any one else having this same discomfort? I also seem to be burping quite a bit....
