Need Advice

I had united healthcare medicare last year so I had to change my plan to humana gold. They will pay for the surgery and my doctor takes it. If your father has medicare its open enrollment until Dec. 7. He can switch carriers till then. Hope this helps. -
Hi everyone. Id like to hear some opinions about different shakes and compare for protein content, taste, and cost. Im about 4 wks. from surgery date and would like to be prepared with something I can tolerate and afford.

Hello everyone. I'm still pre op, but I have a question, I take multiple meds that I can't do without. How long until I can take my meds.? I can't imagine eating 1 to 2 oz. food with a handful of pills crushed and opened in it. Anyone?
-
Hello everyone. I'm trying to get information about how long I'm going to have to go without my meds. I take psych. meds., Lyrica, synthroid, I could go on, but I'm really worried. If I'm only eating 1 to 2 oz. Of food, how.is it going to taste with a hand full of pills crushed and opened in it? Anyone?

Thanks a lot. I think I've made it now. I've lost exactly 10% by my scale, first thing in the morning, and naked. Hopefully the insurance company will allow for the weight of my clothes. Any ideas?

Medicare wont pay for nutritional supplements Just to let you know medicare doesnt participate in this program -
In the same boat Hi. Just wanted to let you know, Im right with you. Ihad to lose 23 # pre surgery. Ive lost all but the last 4 to 6#. I see the doc. The 25th. I had lost it all and ended up having to take steroids for a bad sinus infection. Well they make you ravenously hungry and I gained some back. Hope we both make our weight and get things rolling to our new lives.

Hello everyone. I think I know how to post now, and I think Im in the right place. I am in the process of losing my pre surgery 10%. Ive completed my long check list and done a lot of reading on the subject. Now I see the doctor on Thurs. And find out about my insurance, whether its been accepted. My doctor is Scott Watson in Johnson City, TN. Feedback would be great. I just hope it will be by the end of the year. That would be great. I just wonder if he will schedule the surgery with 4 to 5 lbs. to go. Anyway, send me good thoughts. Thanks. Debbie
